Thank you for creating the provisional MOD:el_flower_white:

I launched “Elin” for the first time in quite a while.
On my system, I have over 150 MODs installed without any special modifications, and none of these have caused issues with “EA 23.222 にゃん定版”.

The only problem occurred with a MOD called “Make Learning Great Again”, which I installed last year:Ib_Ib:

Is it correct that I should put the img file into: ....\steamapps\common\Elin\Package\_Elona\Texture ?

@Karmapowered is there any way you could join the official Elin Discord and upload your player.log file to the #elin-modding channel?

@Puddles Thank you very much for your reply and trying to help.

I am 100% positive I'm only subscribed to this version here of "TextureExpand".

I spent some time this afternoon looking further into the issue, since I don't want to waste your time if it's a me issue.

I cleaned all my local Bepinex/config files so that there wasn't any hidden cache somewhere since I have used the previous version in the past (before this one even existed). I deleted my Elin folder and downloaded the game again from Steam.

I can reliably reproduce the issue when your mod here loads at the same time with (Stable) Custom Whatever Loader . When your mod loads alone, the error message does not appear.

Could you please confirm ? and if yes, what could be done about it ?

karmapowered, can you confirm you aren't accidentally subscribed to the original TextureExpand as well as this one?

Hello,

I'm currently on game version EA 23.213 (latest Steam version, STABLE).
My system time settings are UTC+1.

I'm getting the following error when launching the game with the mod activated :

FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
```ts
//Sequence of events (most recent on top):
System.DateTimeParse.Parse
DateTime.Parse
TextureExpandRecompiled::TextureExpand.<InitTextures>g__UseCache|27_9
TextureExpandRecompiled::TextureExpand.InitTextures
TextureExpandRecompiled::TextureExpand.OnStartCoreCustom
TextureExpandRecompiled::TextureExpand.OnStartCore
UnityEngine.GameObject:SendMessage
Core:StartCase
Core:<StartCase>b__39_0
<RefreshMods>d__11:MoveNext
UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine:InvokeMoveNext
```

Will this cause issues if I keep playing ? Is there any way I can help you fixing this bug ? Perhaps by telling me which log files you'd need ?

Thank you for keeping this mod supported for the community. It's much appreciated.

"Textures change based on the character's equipment"

So, if I equip a armor or a helmet, it's going to change my appearence?

I used the old version of this mod back then but nothing really happened and tbh I didn't quite understand what this mod did. Can anyone answer this?

Needs recompiled again? Errors on stable from this again

Thanks for replying, I got it figured out. I was using the hobby expansion mod & that seems to use another trainer sprite 1001 instead of 814. I replaced them both and everything is working as intended.
Puddles  [author] 14 Sep @ 6:37pm
Hmmm... How are you naming the file?
TouchMe 14 Sep @ 1:30pm
Anyone else having trouble replacing the trainer#f / objC_814 sprite? I've wiped cache, disabled all other graphics mods and the best I get is default or invisible. No issues replacing other npcs like guard or bartender.

Sure feels like it... I just got my Internet back a couple days ago. Will upload a copy of the mod without the cache inside tonight. I hope that's the only issue people are happening though because I wouldn't know how to fix anything else!
deerrhea 11 Sep @ 6:35pm
even hes gone missing lmao

No worries! I was actually excited to see that you've been using my mod too - thank you for that!
I'll try testing it again when the stable branch gets updated.
For reference, when I reported that the mod wasn't working, here's what I had tried: I unsubscribed from the original mod on Steam Workshop, manually deleted any remaining data files, and also manually cleared your mod's cache before launching the game to test it.
Puddles  [author] 23 Aug @ 10:38am
... Ah crap when I updated the mod the day it probably had the cache from *my* game. I'll delete it the next time my laptop has internet access, sorry. I honestly don't know if the mod will work on Stable... Did you unsubscribe from the original mod *and* manually delete the folder?
hashidoi 23 Aug @ 2:05am
If the reason your mod isn't working for me is because I'm playing on the stable branch or because TextureExpand is still active, then please ignore this comment!
hashidoi 23 Aug @ 1:53am
For some reason, this mod doesn't work properly for me. I'm not very technical, so I have no idea why this is happening. However, I've noticed something strange: there are many character sprites in my .Cache folder that I never subscribed to. These appeared as soon as I subscribed to this mod. Even when I delete them and restart the game, no new ones are generated.
Radina 22 Aug @ 9:17pm
Nice job, thank you
YAKATECTO of Wealth 22 Aug @ 2:16pm
I was able to confirm that it works. Thank you for creating it.
K-Man_Gladiator 22 Aug @ 7:06am
Confirmed fixed! Thank you @Puddles
Puddles  [author] 22 Aug @ 12:17am
@K-Man_Gladiator: Hoping the update I just pushed will address the issue you're having.

I'll have very limited Internet access until the 2nd...
K-Man_Gladiator 21 Aug @ 12:57pm
Does this actually fix things fully? I downloaded it and it didn't seem to be, even after I just had this mod and a TE mod on. Seemed like it replaced sprites fine, but the logic to change sprites based on the character's state didn't (like putting a head equip on or off). I'm on nightly, as an FYI.

Regardless, thank you!
OVERLORD 21 Aug @ 4:39am
thanks
grueshanker 18 Aug @ 11:40pm
thanks for updating this, missed this mod
Puddles  [author] 18 Aug @ 7:21pm
You'll probably need to unsubscribe to the original and replace it with this. I don't know if this one would properly override everything.
trakshun 18 Aug @ 7:18pm
so would you use this as a replacement for the OG mod or as an addition to it?
