@Achassion

These values can be edited in the workshop files to suit your desired difficulty.

The mod folder ID is steamapps -> workshop -> content -> 1162750 -> 3546390928

The line you're looking for will be "INDUSTRY IN"

THANK YOU THIS IS THE BEST MOD EVER MADE

I'm sorry if my last comment might have been a little confusing, I was not talking about the change in resources, but rather the amount that was changed, which was very very little compared to the previous amount in resources. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding, but I'd like to know if that only happened to me or if it's intended.

Yeah.

We all needed this. Till the dev changes up something.
Cause leather and clay focus just sucks the fun out of things.

Now you need to have alot of clay to even play right. Plus leather is the hardest resource to gather efficiently... without wasteing so much pop.

Yes. That is the entire point of this mod, @Achassion. It says right there at the top: This changes the Laboratory research from clay to coal and the Library research resource from leather to paper!

Not sure if this is intended, but after I installed this, my lab started using only a very small amount of coal, instead of several units of clay. It went from 10 units of clay to a single unit (and sometimes even 0.9) of coal. Maybe it's because I used it on top of an ongoing save?

Thank you so much for the much needed fix to V69!

Could you maybe add recipes with different amounts of research received? Like use stone and wood for the least amount in early game, clay and leather for the normal amount through to endgame, and use the coal and paper for a boosted amount in endgame? That way we can use this mod in all stages of play. Otherwise love the mod keep it up!

Honestly this game is one i don't need mods for normally but to wait any longer for a update to fix this is just painful if the option to just chose which resource from stone wood or other form of writing would have been better then leather and clay both were already rather limited now all tech you get has to go into mining or pastures early if you want any progress. Glad this is here.

I know why they chose it. But those resources are much too obnoxious to procure. Notice I said "Not only does coal and paper still make sense", as opposed to "Clay and leather makes more sense," or "Clay and leather makes no sense." ;)

The reason why it is clay / leather is because it's more fluffy, more antique. Coal / paper essentially treats your civ as a technologically more advanced society, more industrialized. :cleanhourglass:

Must be listed before "Much Less Research Degradation", if you also want that mod.

I'm glad you think so. Maybe I'll increase the paper requirement for library a bit? Hm.

This may be a good middle ground vs another mod that brought decay down to 10% (whatever that means, I only joined in v69) and doubled worker output. I had hundreds of points of knowledge by 400 to 500 people, wasn't sure where I was supposed to be per vanilla.
