I had the same observation about cold insulation. Normal quality recon and marine suits have a minimum of 60% cold insulation to survive standing in space. These suits have around 30% causing pawns to die of hypothermia.
You might want to tweak the weight value for the hardsuit helmet to prevent hauling issues for pawns. A full marine suit weighs 13.5 kg, and 1.5 kg of that is the helmet. The hardsuits are 24 kg because the helmets are also 12 kg. Weapons, clothes, and utilities quickly eat up the remaining 11 kg carry weight of a colonist.

this is nice! Love to see the TGstation Mining MOD suit one day. Oh how cool would it be to have ash walkers and megafauna in rimworld. Makes me wish the guy who was supposed to make the stuff behind the door the legion was guarding came back (It has been several years)
