Yes, i ask most of these item creators for the files directly(Either on Discord or over Steam Chat). i mainly ask the people who happen to be the item's uploader, they usually let me know which items they still have the files for and which they can send me.

But Items by Dansky I've mostly asked Earl De Darkwood for, as they told me they can fetch me MOST of the files they worked on together. other times I'm required to make sure everyone else who worked on them is okay with it first.

But remember tho, i still can't get EVERY file on the workshop, as there are some few creators who prefer not having their items ported elsewhere, which i respect.

I've actually been wondering about the process for getting these models so you can port them to Gmod/SFM. Do you contact the creators directly and ask them for the model files, or is there some other method I'm not aware of?

Asking because there's a set of all-class goggles on the TF2 Workshop that I'd really like to be ported to Gmod, but considering how packed your schedule might or might not be, I want to try doing it myself.

The addon is made to be bonemerged onto the TF2 models using t he Advanced Bonemerge Tool or Easy Bonemerge Tool.

This set is ment to be used on the Scout's ragdoll.

Excuse my ignorance, but I don't get it. I can't get it to work.
Is it supposed to be for the models or is it a skin?

Its cosmetics you bonemerge to The Scout's ragdoll. i don't make any sorts of Playermodel mods.

i don't understand this is a playermodel or only a model because on the skins menu i don't found, sorry cause this is so much dumb

ik but i usually make a custom texture for it and look at its existing one its all kindsa fucked up

It does not state anywhere who made the texture. but on the jacket its the fur around the neck. while for the Boots/Gloves its only the gloves that are paintable.

While for the head cosmetic its just the mask. There is sadly no paintable innershirt style for the jacket.

ok the set is cool, but who the hell made the textures cus ive been strugglng to figure out what paint bloch goes to what part of the cosmetic, i feel like youd have to be EXTTREEEEEMELY high to figure that out. either way its still a good cosmetic, just pissed i cant make it pink for pink team because the person who made the textures fucked up so badly
