Outfit Stands Plus

Too all and to @khamenman. The Devs of HAR is aware of the issues with the Outfit Stand and a fix done already on the Dev Version. However some of the Race creators on HAR have some ideas they want to work/test out. As such no real ETA when the update to fix the Race exclusive outfits not staying on the Stands will be released.

If you want Deets check the comments on HAR mod page and my discussion with the guy managing the Mod on steam.

If you want to know the exact details of the bug in question go there and read my comments there.
Yautja 22 hours ago
YES YES YEEEES, thanks for this! A dev on the discord said it was impossible to do it, and you freaking did it, amazing work on it!
SP4RTAN 23 hours ago
I'm just dumb and didn't see the tooltip, whoops. But it would be nice if you changed it so it doesn't cache the setting so it would update already placed stands.
Alma_S 12 Aug @ 11:46am
@khamenman i understand that allow adding items shouldnt affect removing. i managed to nail down that this mod has a conflict with one of my mod. seems to work perfectly fine otherwise. sorry for the trouble
Tleno 12 Aug @ 9:24am
Same here, could you offer a menu option to disable research and buildability of new stands, or just offer QoL feature separately by itself?
mreledil 12 Aug @ 8:43am
Same request as Apathethic Slug, would it be possible to have QoL version only?
Smiley Face Killer 12 Aug @ 7:46am
@Aeon
Try this out: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3235960401
It's "Move Interaction Spot" by Mlie, I have zero clue if it'll work for you. But if it doesn't you could possible ask Mlie to add compatibility for this mod.
Would probably be a lot easier than have khamenman change this mod up.

*I too like the changing in front of it, makes more sense to me, but to each their own
grim 12 Aug @ 4:27am
@khamenman Sent a bug report plus log to HAR dev. Hopefully they can fix the issue. It is very hard to use the Outfit Stand and your mod while this bug is happening.

In case you want to see the log; https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/127cf6f298f8db239731a3e04f90e9dc

@Aeon I might look into making it a setting later. Personally I prefer pawns changing in front of the stand rather that behind it or whatever, hence the interaction spot
Aeon 11 Aug @ 9:37pm
Love the mod but would it be possible to remove the 1 tile interaction spot and make it the same as vanilla outfit stands. I installed this mod mid run and i couldn't replace all of the stands with the mending ones because of spacing issues
khamenman  [author] 11 Aug @ 8:59pm
@Apathetic Slug Feel free to remove them with Cherry Picker
Apathetic Slug 11 Aug @ 8:55pm
Would it be possible to get a version without the mechanized and mending outfits? A QoL armor stand mod is very much needed, but having the other types of stands introduces powercreep and clutter. I know it is possible to "just not use them", but the clutter is my main concern here.
Wolfette 11 Aug @ 8:46pm
Great to see this mod live on both in vanilla and in this successor. The only thing I'd love is for the different sprites to look more like they did in the old one, the new vanilla stand is... boring. Your own had a lot more character imho.
khamenman  [author] 11 Aug @ 8:45pm
@grim Thanks for the feedback, if the issue is actually with HAR then it should be fixed on their side
@Alma_S I'm not sure I follow. Allow adding items doesn't affect removing, there's a separate vanilla gizmo for that
grim 11 Aug @ 8:29pm
@Nutella I also have the same issue. However it is not this mods fault as i have the same problem you have before i added this mod. I was hoping that this mod would fix the propblem but it didn't.

For reference @Nutella can you list any Race mods? I think it might be a race issue. I am running: Demi-fox(i think this one is causing the problem for me) ,Epona-dynasty, Yuran, Idearn.

Reason to suspect it is a race issue is that the modded races if the mod maker added them to the outfit stand adds a Race button to the Stands. From what i can tell at least for me is that the Demi-fox Race for one reason or another is set to be default for the Stands.

So if i say for instance set the stand for Epona (which have Race exclusive Clothing) and said stand is on the grave ship and said ship changes map the stand will return to default which for me for some reason is the Demi-fox mod. This causes the armor to drop from the Outfit Stand.
Nutella 11 Aug @ 5:38pm
This is a mod I really needed, and it worked beautifully in practice (love the immersive detail of having to change into a vacsuit before going out into space!).
…until I quit the game. When I loaded it back up, every piece of armor I had placed on the outfit stands was lying scattered on the floor. No matter how much I tidy them up or change the allow/forbid settings on the stands, every time I load a save, all the items end up dumped on the ground again.

I saw in the comments that Simple Sidearms–type mods aren’t supported yet, so I tried removing them, but the issue still happens.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Alma_S 11 Aug @ 4:48pm
in my testing, when i have "allow adding items" on the outfit stand disabled, my colonists will also remove the armors i put on them. the same gizmo also seems to automatically disable itself whenever i order a pawn to equip outfit, making other people remove the armors off the outfit as they were being worn
Dizzy Ioeuy 11 Aug @ 11:34am
@Heli-da-MAN:
Serious question. I'm happy using you Armor Rack mod. Is this basically that mod but using the different graphic? I'm sort of lost as to the difference, if any between the two? Oh wait this requires oddyssey and your other is for non DLC peeps. Ok, THANK YOU for being so generous to we plebs.
Helixien 11 Aug @ 10:47am
THANK YOU!
浅夏 11 Aug @ 9:25am
I saw two buttons, "Change Clothes" and "Put Clothes Back", but why aren't they combined into one button, just "Change Clothes"?
浅夏 11 Aug @ 9:16am
Why does SL cause clothes to fall off the hanger
khamenman  [author] 11 Aug @ 6:39am
@ChoniclerVI Yes
ChoniclerVI 11 Aug @ 6:18am
Is this safe to add to an existing save? This looks like a god-send, I've gotten quite frustrated with pawns and their outfit stands
Omnires 11 Aug @ 4:46am
Nice mod.

But one of the things I would love to see is an auto changing comber or door. This is more common in some hi sci-fi stories or movies. Where before going out of an airlock the room itself cleans who is inside while also dressing them for going outside of the ship. And when they come back into the ship the airlock cleans them and removes their protective gear. They show up in other places outside of spaceships. Like clean rooms hospitals with robot arms and hands to help keep doctors clean and change gear super fast between helping intensive care patients. Or researchers working on something in a sealed lab where they can't even risk things like dust from entering or leaving the area.

Mind you, I'm not saying you or anyone else should go out of their way to make it. Just voicing what this mod reminded me of when looking at upgrade to the changing stands.
khamenman  [author] 10 Aug @ 9:34pm
@Azazellz The contents would drop on the ground
@natknut I'll see what I can do
Dewraith 10 Aug @ 1:00pm
i messed with it alittle bit and it just left the armor on the stand when i uninstalled and it all came back when i reinstalled it.
Turkwise 10 Aug @ 11:43am
The devs made them unminifiable because if you deconstructed the minified armor stand while items were on it, the items would be deleted.
So something that would essentially never happen under normal circumstances.
natknut 10 Aug @ 9:30am
I don't suppose there could ever be an option to make it work with simple sidearms? It is a bit unfortunate that you can't really use the racks for weapons if you want sidearms.

I am using the armor racks mod, only just found out this one exists, so I'm sorry if that actually has been added and I didn't know.
Azazellz 10 Aug @ 9:17am
Also, outfit stands are now minifiable
What will happen to the contents of these stands if they are minified? (I am not at my gaming PC, so I cannot check it myself right now).

If I recall correctly, the developers abandoned this idea because when minified, the vanilla stands simply deleted all their content.
SKEL 10 Aug @ 6:57am
You are a god!
khamenman  [author] 10 Aug @ 6:28am
Also, outfit stands are now minifiable
khamenman  [author] 10 Aug @ 6:25am
@恰似宛然一笑生花 Thank you for your work
@Turkwise I'm not opposed to removing the research projects if there's popular demand for it. I just don't see a few extra ones as a big deal. Maybe my modlist isn't big enough...
Turkwise 10 Aug @ 5:44am
Personally speaking, i'd also rather have more clutter in my furniture tab than my research tab. Especially considering there are mods that let you add furniture variants into a right click drop down menu of the base version.
恰似宛然一笑生花 9 Aug @ 11:59pm
Hello khamenman. That's an interesting mod. So I created a mod "Outfit Stands Plus_zh" that adds a Chinese translation for your mod and published it on the workshop. Thank you for your contribution! Keep on keeping on!:dslike:
Lira 9 Aug @ 7:44pm
Seconding SP4RTAN's request, that is far and away the biggest QOL upgrade that outfit stands could get, and I say that having loved your original stands for years.
SP4RTAN 9 Aug @ 3:00pm
Could you add mod option or just make it so the stands can be minified/uninstalled?
Hungry 9 Aug @ 2:20pm
Your previous Armor Racks mod has been a mainstay of my modlists for years. Thank you so much for making this new and updated version.
Azazellz 9 Aug @ 10:34am
ISome people might not want them cluttering up their Furniture tab
I think the Furniture tab is much more generous (unless, of course, you have a million furniture mods installed) and much less prone to conflicts with overlaps than the research tree.
The possibility of some modded research projects overlapping with others in the vanilla tree was the main reason I wrote this comment.
Had a similar problem in one of my mods, and I had to make compatibility patches to make it look good (since I simply couldn't integrate the research project with anything from the base game).
khamenman  [author] 9 Aug @ 10:06am
@Ryanisunique107 Outfit stands are added by Odyssey, so no
@Azazellz Some people might not want them cluttering up their Furniture tab, so they can just not research them. I don't believe it's a big deal either way
Azazellz 9 Aug @ 10:03am
Are new research projects really necessary in this mod?
I mean, is it worth cluttering up the research tree with something as simple as an outfit stand?
Why not add Mechanized outfit stands to Machining, for example (or Microelectronics), and Mending outfit stands to Fabrication (or Advanced fabrication)?
HIM 9 Aug @ 9:15am
"Mechanized outfit stand"

Jarvis, thank this mod author
RojoMuerte 9 Aug @ 8:58am
Sweet. This looks like the update we wanted.
Ryanisunique107 9 Aug @ 8:33am
can u make it not dependent on odysey?
Solifluktion 9 Aug @ 8:32am
Thank you so much. I was really underwhelmed by vanilla outfit stands compared to your armor stands, so now having the cool qol functionality with the vanilla stands is amazing.
Sumatris 9 Aug @ 5:44am
Just what I was looking for. I have two nudists in my current colony. Getting them into a vacsuit from an outfit stand is fine, but since they're not wearing anything to swap with, getting them out of the suits afterwards is a chore. I sincerely hope this mod fixes this, but I'm confident it will :-).
Latex Santa 9 Aug @ 3:36am
@khamenman
Simple Sidearms compatibility is definitely a must-have.
Thanks very much for the mod!
Benetrator - Beton 9 Aug @ 2:51am
Awesome. I was so disappointed with having to micro vanilla outfit stands so much, this is a great mod
Jixxor 9 Aug @ 2:44am
AMAZING. Thank you so much for making Vanilla Outfit Stands usable so quickly.
khamenman  [author] 9 Aug @ 2:37am
@qux There should be no major impact on performance
@Fluffy I might look into supporting Pocket Sand/Simple Sidearms. The rest seems a bit out of scope, sorry
Fluffy 9 Aug @ 2:05am
Lovely! Can I add this to an ongoing game? Please? :)

Also, this is probably out of scope, but any chance we can get a patch/plugin that allows for adding other loadout-related items? I'm thinking sidearms (Simple Sidearms), medicine (vanilla loadouts), ammo (CE, Yayo), etc.
