@Mad Marl As far as I know, no. They should not be able to join squad of only animals.

So can they join the Gutters faction if they get a little too close to Gut or a Beak Thing wanders too close to the Eye? If so, that's hilarious. I can just picture a Beak Thing confused at all these strange little non-foods beating up food and dragging it to its nest

@Mad Marl They will do everything that squad they've joined do so yeah, they will. It won't be too much of an issue. They rare to spawn and they need to be close to the NPC to start dialogue and join them.

So if they join up with cloud ninjas, weak thralls, or one of the modded groups I have in the areas listed will they join in on beating you up?

Neat thanks for the extra variety, something cool would be like random starving hivers or weak starving shek having a very low % chance to spawn but if they see you and you have food they might walk up, ask, and then ask to join
