So I disabled the Dying Light specials and with them gone are the crashes. Guess I'll just settle for Spicy_Jam's Specials Remastered for now.

My PC is pretty good and settings are as max as possible (only bumped shaders down to high), playing with as little HD mods as possible and it's like I said, every time I start L4D2 campaign and then try playing a L4D1 campaign I just crash on loading. I can't explain it, it just happens. Try downgrading textures a bit. That might help with mod size and performance.

Hello Mundfish, sorry for taking awhile to get back to you but after performing numerous game test both accomplishing an entire campaign with numerous other mods such as MW2019 weapons and Infection HUD, I didn't experience any crashes but I can't really say there isn't problem as I stated previously, other mods or computer specs can be a factor on your experience. Feel free to further report/explain your current issue and to anyone else experiencing similar outcome or others, feel free to report as well ^_^

Additional context: I tested it at the highest possible graphics settings with Paged pool memory at high

I performed a short test with every character as the model on official dedicated server by casting vote on switching campaign mid-game and so far I didn't experience any crash or error after switching l4d2 to l4d1 and vice versa but I will not conclude there as it may be other factors such as user settings, specs or other mods. I will perform more test tomorrow as it's late at the time of this of this message, if you can provide more info such like crash message, what is the specific way the crash occurred or what mods you are using, I will test it out.

When trying to load any L4D1 map, after playing on a L4D2 map, even with minimal HD mods, it would always crash on loading.

Hey, just wanted to say sorry to those who were hoping for more GF2 characters to be ported. Honestly, I’ve been trying to sort out my messy workflow for Source 1 as it kept changing from model to model, and some of the porting tasks have been a real headache.

One of the major things I’ve been working on is making facial flexes easier to handle. With this model, I actually managed to create my own custom face flex rule (Although some of it were back-ported from one of my Source 2 SFM models), which helps make facial animations of Valve to ideally be more expressive on anime-style models and easy to implement. It’s still a work in progress, especially the lip-sync part, but it’s getting there.

This stuff takes time (and motivation), and I’ve always been more about quality over quantity. Thanks for sticking with me while I get everything sorted out!
