Hey, man. Working like a charm. Thanks for checking into that!

@Dizzy Ioeuy Sorry it's taken a while, I fixed the autopatcher, which was embarrassingly easy, so it should be working properly now.
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 8:04pm
It's from Vanilla Expanded Royal I think...
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 7:54pm
OK then yeah it does not seem to be doing that for me. I tried it with just this mod/harmony/and simple camera. (plus obviously my own testing item as I didn't know at first. And all DLC

That is exactly what dynamic calc is supposed to do. If you changed the multiplier to 0.5, encumbrance should be halved, so I need to look into it.
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 7:43pm
Maybe i misunderstand the dynamic calc. as the mod calculates everything that is wearable including Core items. so i'm probably just lost.

For the tick rate: the only thing in the mod that ticks is the unencumberedness need. It is probably possible to lower the tick rate further, but I'm doubtful that will result in much performance increase because encumbrance is calculated whenever apparel is changed and the result is cached. Turning off the alerts will result in some minor performance gains.

For your other issues: it seemed to work for me the last time I used it. I will do some tests and see if there's some deeper issue.
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 7:31pm
Also the dynamic calculation factor doesn't seem to work? I made it x0.5 and have some custom items I made. They were originally found to be like 240% but then i did the x0.5, and restarted Rimworld. Was still at 240%.
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 2:21pm
Was wondering if there's a way to lower tick rate check for the mod? It's not seemingly harming my tps, but every little bit counts? Maybe in the options it could be added? Unless you already have a very efficient way already going.

Maybe just "Unencumbered". it is shorter... a little...

Yeah... I really struggled to find a good word. I didn't want to use "comfort" because that is already used, and my English minor corrupted brain wouldn't allow me to choose something approximate but less specific. But I'll give it some thought because "unencumberedness" is clearly causing too many issues.
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 12:47pm
I figured it out! It was that I unchecked the tiny text in the main game settings so that text is slightly larger. The disable tiny font. So yeah. Not a functioning problem at all, but dang that uncemburedness (sp) is a long word! What about movability, mobility? Gods, there really is no better word is there?
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 12:05pm
I did. X1.25 ill see if that's it. And it is just on regular pawn needs or whatever. I use rimhud and Mint menus. But I'd guess you might too? It hapoened even without those thoigh. New game, load game.

I gotta figure this out

@Dizzy I can't replicate the error. My best guess is that it could have something to do with the UI. Did you alter the UI scaling at all?
Is this by chance on the travel screen? There is a known issue where "unencumberedness" is too long to fit on the travel UI and gets shortened to "ness". I'm not completely sure how to fix that.

Huh. I'll take a look.
Dizzy Ioeuy 20 Aug @ 1:12am
Just confirmed it is "ss" with only this mod and xml ext in mods. I noticed xml ext. updated recently... I wonder if something there changed.
Dizzy Ioeuy 19 Aug @ 10:00pm
Really weird thing- my unencumberance no longer says that. It says "ss" any reason for this obvious at your end?

@Dizzy Ioeuy
Fantastic! Thanks.
Dizzy Ioeuy 16 Aug @ 1:58pm
Yeah no problems on a 2 year playthrough with me so far. It's solid.

AIU3 updated: compatibility with Hospitality, added an inspect line to apparel, added mod option to change the calculation formula, fixed a rare bug.
Nationality  [author] 31 Jul @ 10:46pm
I'm taking this mod out of Beta, since I haven't received any bug reports, and it seems to be working well in my playthrough.
Ishchyaboi 29 Jul @ 1:54pm
Cheers, that sounds grand

@Ishchyaboi Changing the recovery and fall multipliers in the mod settings will change how quickly pawns will recover. Looking back on it, the line "this could take a long time if they were in armor for weeks" is a little misleading, because by default, it will take only about a day to recover from maximum encumbrance - unless you suffered from severe chafing, in which case it might take 3-4 days. So doubling the recovery rate to 2 will halve the time it takes to get back from max encumbrance etc etc.

If you plan to have people in heavy armor tromping around a lot, I suggest turning the encumbrance fall rate to something like 10-20%. The way I balanced the mod, it assumes your pawns will be getting into armor only for combat, or use light armor for extended shifts and away missions.
Ishchyaboi 29 Jul @ 12:48pm
Could the time it takes to recover (and build up, too) be configureable? My more hardcore modlists tend to be generations-campaigns. And having one of my knights be uncomfortable for years after wearing armor does not seem ideal. I do see the section for Mod Settings but not the specific settings that are moddable.

@dizzy XML extended's author is very responsive and has fixed any issues I've brought up very quickly. I haven't had any of the issues you mention, though if it turns out to be a big problem it should be possible to decouple XML extended from AIU.

I have a suspicion you might be confusing XML extended for some other library. There were a couple of notorious ones, but XML extended is pretty lightweight, and it only adds new functions, it doesn't change how XML patching works.
Dizzy Ioeuy 28 Jul @ 6:38pm
Ok, but ONLY because this mod requires it (the ONLY mod in my list which does- I've avoided XML-X as much as I can).

Thanks for updating again.
Nationality  [author] 28 Jul @ 6:15pm
@Dizzy XML extensions is a dependency, and AIU depends on it for mod settings and critical patches. AIU can't run without it, sadly.

I'm not sure how XML extensions was in the past, but so far, it is pretty stable, and I've been testing it with AIU with a massive 200+ modlist without any obvious issues.

And oh yes, Armor Racks, I've got on that on my mod list. It works well :)
Dizzy Ioeuy 28 Jul @ 5:55pm
Oh I have MISSED this kind of mod!!!

does it rely on XML extensions? or can I just go with what you got? I want to avoid that mod as it sometimes gets very hacky.

Also, imo THIS mod is the perfect pairing:

My bad)
I hoped to combine them...
Thanks anyways)

@condotierre Thanks! I am alright.
I probably would not have updated this mod if it weren't for messages like yours. Only a small number of people use the mod, but those that do really seem to like it, which makes it worth investing the time into making it work.
The original mod was pretty hacky. This new version is much better. I'm eager to see what people think of it.
condottiere 28 Jul @ 10:40am
Welcome back! AIU was a staple for me back in 1.3 and 1.4. Many miserably happy memories of slogging through alien jungles kitted out with Rimmu-Nation plate carriers and guns, and having to take actual rest breaks, make camp, etc.

Hope you've been well, and looking forward to this in my next 1.6 playthrough.

@Vra4 Having only read the mod description of take off indoors: Yes, but it only visually takes off the jacket, so it will still count for encumbrance.
Vra4 28 Jul @ 2:06am
will it work with take off indoors?
kaczorski 28 Jul @ 1:30am
Great mod and the book looks very interesting!
negimagi_10 27 Jul @ 10:20pm
holy crap!!! I freaken Love YOU!!!!!
