Additional note Post a full campaign, all other weapons work fine, even with mods. IT appears to just be melee weapons. If you use this mod PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MELEE WEAPONS CAN CAUSE CRASHES WHEN SWAPPING THEM OUT FOR OTHER WEAPONS.

These crashes can be avoided if you pick up a melee weapon and never use a pistol, or never touch a melee weapon. Until it is fixed, I'm fairly certain this is the only solution to the crashing.

Like Fluffball, I've had problems involving crashes with melee weapons. It seems like certain melee weapons crash the game when trying to switch from them. I attempted to catalog every weapon that caused the game to crash, but unfortunately some weapons only crash on certain other weapons. I.E. switching out the shovel for guitar will not crash the game, but switching a shovel for the knife will.

I'm not sure what the problem might be, whenever I try to change melee weapon in a run/campaign the game crashes - sometimes I can get to two changes but at the third it's always a definite crash

By any chance could you possibly do Wild Assault character replacements?
