I have a special gift coming soon dedicated to a friend and only possible due to the recent '1917' map by Fallvine! This simple sort of mission will be focusing on the same Wurttembergische just a few months before this in the Argonne.:thestar:

*it seems some DLC requirements have changed with the map? This mission now may be slightly more accessible, though it seems that many people do not have Ardennes. I still apologize to all who are unable to play due to dlc requirements.

@razze ꑭ Thank you very much! Personally to me this is my best mission when played from the US side. Some riflemen get crazy amounts of grenades, so even though its 1918- some of these squads pack more punch than some vanilla WW2 era units. :thestar:

@Cervus, Thank you and my gracious friend I will not forget your request either as I desperately wish to continue with the plan we discussed with Asiago! It's my dream really to fill out all fronts whether it be in this game or another! If we end up with Italians in "Over The Top" then I will be hooked for life!:thestar:

@ivanfreitas777, My friend you are a real Maestro! Thank you immensely for all your modding efforts and support as none of these missions would be possible without it all! I promise now that I will not remove the FT-17 from the mission and will expand it's use! I have an idea on how to incorporate it into a real relief effort. I've copied from a lot of who'm I believe are the best mission authors who really go deep into the editor; Nutella The Hun, Ramp, Alex Shepherd, Bcarreon, Jaybee, Sentry87, Multinacho8, Dotmatrix, ect...! :thestar:

As for the Renault FT 17, if you want I can maybe modify one especially for this mission

Wow friend, I'm sorry to hear this, but I understand you, sometimes I'm also disappointed with how much I can still do for the workshop, but I always come back and make more mods lol. I really love doing this, even if it irritates me sometimes. Just for the record, I think that if you're not the best mission creator in Er2, you're definitely at the top of the list.

@Chrom, Thank you very much for your kind words and thank you more for playing! I am a big fan of combat photography&footage and try my hardest to take what I see in the period photos and somehow fit it into ER2. This has surprisingly worked pretty well, though it takes a really long time doing it all in the mission editor where I have to place each prop manually. This new AI is pretty damn fun with this particular mission! I love watching the attackers slowly crawl up to the trench line before throwing in a couple of grenades to wipe the Krauts.

I've been chipping away at this for awhile now and I honestly do not have many *pretty* answers; I disagree with many of the creative choices that have come about recently and I am not a fan of any of the campaign reworks. I have a couple personal reasons to for it that I cannot give, but have driven me to decide that I cannot support the devs anymore and must stick to my principles.

Terribly sorry to hear you're not enjoying the game these days. Why? Just curious, your biz.
This is a glorious WW1 mission, stellar woodland fighting on it's own and one of the most immersive missions I've seen in general.
That series of counterattacks is an especially clever use of the mission format.
Glorious work m8, you can really tell the amount of work that went into it.

@jaybee, thank you so much man it means the world to me! It's kind of a double edged sword for me; it can be so intimate to make these missions, but the satisfaction I feel for them diminishes hard. It's hard for me to justify spending 40+ hours on singular missions when I honestly do not enjoy this game anymore. There is a hope that more missions are to come, but I cannot promise much!:thestar:

@some äustrian guy , I may end up removing the tank entirely as there is no real need for it, but I agree I believe I will update it to the vanilla model for now. I realize the map uses the DLC anyway so there is no real need for me to avoid it? I included it for those who have asked me for WW1 tank gameplay. :hindsight:

i would replace the modded ft 17 for the basegame version but if you want to keep it dlc free, you could also use the ST. Chamond (Or Schneider CA1 but i dont know if the american forces used it) from one of Ivans mod
jaybee 25 Jul @ 4:52am
I've shared this in the disc to hopefully boost your numbers and dropped a like and favourite. Please don't stop making WW1 missions.

You are honestly one of the best mission makers we have. The time and effort you put in with prop placement for environmental storytelling is instantly apparent, I know you might think people don't notice but its really hard not to, well done bro.
