Hey folks. I'll be updating this sooner or later. I'm not sure how long this will take, as I've gotten busy with school. I'm graduating this December, after which I'll be taking on some large modding projects, but I hope to update this a bunch in the mean time. We'll see though -- it all depends on how busy my schoolwork is.

Would you be willing to make a patch whereby the Loincloth and Chestwrap from "UnderWhere" don't need research to make?

Specifically "Research Reinvented: Stepping Stones" adds it to the "Simple Apparel" research, but then Vanilla Faction Expanded: Tribals adds a "Tribalwear" research that becomes a prereq. for "Simple Apparel"...

So I have to learn how to make full tribalwear, BUT THEN learn how to make parkas and the like before I can even make a loincloth.

I guess patching them to be available with VFE:T's "Tribalwear" research would work too, if it's easier.


I'm having no luck on doing it myself, even with AI's help. I have a couple mods with craftables that don't require research(like "Toddlers" allows kid tribalwear right away), but even looking through them hasn't helped me; the same method they used "<researchPrerequisites Inherit="False"/>" doesn't seem to work.

I realized a while back that I never actually posted the log for the red errors I was having with this mod lol, so many days late, here it is. Same thing where it seems to be the Lateral Thinking research that's causing the stack trace.

Running into a "Failed to find node" error on startup where the patch for Progression Core isn't even seeing the def for the Lateral Thinking research as existing at the given def path.

I've ran into some bugs trying to enable this, I have most of the patched mods on my load order already except Production, but just thought I'd send you the log file just in case it helps you with compatibility because I think I have some other patch style mods involved causing the problems.
(My guess is non-lethal revisited? But I am not knowledgeable with modding so biiig grain of salt)

Either way thank you for trying to bring some cohesion to all these mods :D

I'm working on finishing another mod which will be fine within the week, but after that I'm going to come back to this one and update the description while I add more to it.

If you're using Progression: Core, Culture should be a prerequisite for everything. Otherwise, Lateral Thinking should be a prerequisite for everything. I'm not sure how you got basic cooking before food preparation, haha. I'll double check this as I make my next round of patches.

Would you consider making food preparation a prerequisite for basic cooking? In an animal playthrough I managed to learn how to cook fine meals before being able to make basic meals. Totally understand if outside the scope of the mod. Otherwise this mod is awesome. Thanks for your work!

Is it necessary to create a special ranking? I couldn't see any changes in the items under the Vanilla expanded tab. Could you share a screenshot of how it should look?

New update! Now includes patches for VFE Tribals, Classical, and Progression: Production. These mods are not required for this patch mod to work, in case you don't have all of them.
