@ShogunofJapan Alright, great to hear. Just remember to put those objectives in the air so that the AI can't capture them and end the match early.

Also, if your fighting area is small enough, it might help to put some "AI Once" spawns of both sides (for instance, 2 axis and 2 allies) to make a preexisting fight that the player can immediately jump into. It's up to you, just do what you feel is best and what works.

I got the script working and just gotta adjust the map for the game mode and then I will move on to balancing it slightly, I was thinking about including plenty of spawns on the outer layers of the maps on one side and the others basically like 90 degrees of one and 90 degrees of the other team and putting a few objectives to keep the AI moving

@ShogunofJapan Hey, I added a couple of vehicles to the Croatian, VRS, and stationary weapon packs for you, they should enhance your mission a bit (especially the RAK-12, pretty much a must for the Croatians this late in the war). This is just a start, but I hope this at least helps a bit :steamthumbsup:

Also, if you're having trouble with getting them to move while they're far away from each other, set the mode to "Push the Frontline" and place a few points around the map so that they'll meet at them (I also just tested this and it worked).

@ShogunofJapan Hey, you're very lucky. I just ran the conquest script through ER2's AI script generator to remove all of the objective-making code and keep the tickets, and it worked (I just tested it myself on a test map a few times to make sure)

I put it in the title as well but the squads that have the AI brain script HAVE TO be the Axis and they have to be the defenders. It didn't work the other way around. Anyway, I hope it works for you and I can't wait for your mission with it :steamthumbsup:

@ShogunofJapan Sure, but servers on this game are barely filled and this is a singleplayer-focused game anyway, you're gonna want to keep singleplayer in mind first.

@ShogunofJapan You can if you want, but just so you know, when I tried it on the mission that I used it on (the 2nd Slovenian mission, "An Impasse"), I consistently had most of the bots staying on a single point and just gathering up on it no matter how many times I attempted to fix it. The mission is now "Push the Frontline" because I gave up on it.


I'm not saying this to discourage you, I'm just saying this because this is the only time I got genuinely mad while making this mod and I don't want you to experience that frustration yourself. Do try and use the script at first, but if the bots still gather up on a point and don't move after a fix or two, just let it go and use a different mode. It's not worth the time.

Idk if I should try and make the mission with the conquest mode script as it would be cool to finally try it out as the map seems much more in favor of that style of gameplay

@ShogunofJapan Yeah, that all makes sense. Scaling is pretty much necessary (I found that out the hard way) so I get it.

Also, gotcha. I'll get to adding more vehicles for the Croats and the VRS when I can so you'll see periodic updates in the vehicle packs every so often (I have a Luna-M in progress now and I'll be making vehicle skins/improvised afvs for the HVO and the main Croatian army over time).

The roads annoyed me the first time so I just did straight ones for the time being, I can edit a few areas and see where it would work. I wanna keep it simple for now. This battle will be based on the North Bosnian region, the town is somewhat based on Orašje but I took heavy liberties because a recreation would take years.

@ShogunofJapan I took a look at it, great job so far (I'm not on the discord but I use the preview feature to check on it every now and then). Just one thing, I think using the 45° and 90° road sections across what you have now would help a lot, as I don't see many of them from the preview image. You can resize them, rotate them, layer them on top of each other, etc, it doesn't have to be exact but it looks way nicer than only using straight pieces of road.

Also, I forget which battle you said you were doing but if you need a river patrol craft for those water sections (like the Neštin [en.wikipedia.org]) or anything else, don't be afraid to let me know. I'll make time to model/add what I can to my packs :steamthumbsup:. Besides that, I'm looking forward to it (especially that bridge section in the top-right. I don't know if that'll be part of the battle but it looks like a fun place for combat).

Just so you know, the map and mission I was talking about is still being made, I just have to make it work in gameplay but so far I like the area I have made.
