Replace Stuff - Continued

In my memories, either this mod or another allowed me to truly replace anything by anything, IE: a wooden crate in place of a wall; while this mod does really good in my current run, it has some limitations. Anyone knows of something that'd be more 'unlimited'?
oldnewone 4 Sep @ 12:23am
No errors Goddess. Just when trying to replace chair, blueprint is red and game says "Space is already occupied". Like mod is not present in my game but it is.
Meme Goddess  [author] 4 Sep @ 12:06am
@Corvus ~ It's possible, but I'm curious as to what the use case would be O.o

@fey ~ Any errors show up in the console?
Corvus 3 Sep @ 6:10am
Would it be possible to add double-width vents?
Sanswer 31 Aug @ 6:56pm
I'm not sure if it's a mod incompatibility on my end since I also use a mod to uninstall coolers, but colonists can shoot through the over wall coolers
prplelefants 31 Aug @ 9:08am
my condolences to the family. thank you for continuing his work.
Recipient Lumber 30 Aug @ 8:55pm
@fey try simply loading it by itself you might also still have the old one on and maybe thats causing it as while it isn't the case for this but some mods have the same mod Id and rim world fucks it up so also try unsubscribing the old one
Señor Mondongo 30 Aug @ 6:59pm
Oh I see. TYSM
fey 30 Aug @ 5:04pm
For some reason this has totally stopped working for me. It's like it's not even in the load order even though it is.
Meme Goddess  [author] 30 Aug @ 3:58pm
@Señor Mondongo ~ You don't need Replace Stuff Mod Compatibility anymore, as yes, it was included in this mod now. It might not work correctly for SOS2, considering when the Mod Compatibility mod was rolled into this one, SOS2 1.6 wasn't out yet. If there are any issues with it, please do let me know <3

@Öffentliches Ärgernis ~ Hmmm ok, I'll do some testing and see what I can find
Señor Mondongo 30 Aug @ 11:34am
Hi Meme Goddes. The "Replace Stuff Mod Compatibility" is already included?, I'm playing for the first time with SOS2 and it seems I need that but is isnt out for 1.6
Ayaka 30 Aug @ 11:25am
Well, thanks all the same, I'll hopefully be on the look out for an update that fixes it.
Öffentliches Ärgernis 30 Aug @ 3:30am
I didn't investigate the issue in particular, so this is more a question like: "has anybody else experienced it?" but it seems to me, that an auto-rebuild building doesn't keep its settings and I'm quite sure this mod ensured that once.
A flashstorm destroyed my library and the auto-rebuild bookshelves where set to "accept any books" instead of my grouped sets to have different parts in the library for textbooks, novels, schematics, etc.
Meme Goddess  [author] 30 Aug @ 12:55am
It's on my todo list to try and patch that mod to fix the issue, as they don't seem to have much support for it ^.^
Ayaka 30 Aug @ 12:53am
As a matter of fact, I am! Huh. I wonder why? I need it though as it's very ratkin themed and it's practically a racial style for me to use. Any idea on what I can do as a work around?
Meme Goddess  [author] 29 Aug @ 11:37pm
@Ayaka ~ Are you perhaps using Gloomy Furniture? It is known to conflict with this mod and disable certain features
Ayaka 29 Aug @ 11:26pm
I don't know why but this version doesn't let me build over old stuff to replace it. Far as I can tell, this mod's only letting me use stuff like the over the wall cooler and vents.
Meme Goddess  [author] 29 Aug @ 9:57pm
@Lorebot ~ Yeah, it's possible that you've got something that is affecting it. If I get the chance, I'll take a look at your modlist
Lorebot 29 Aug @ 5:44pm
I'm not sure what the issue was, but when I tried to turn off all my mods to test just the 2 mods by themselves and my game wouldn't get through the new game menu. I had to reinstall Rimworld and all my mods to get it working and when I finally got it to work I was able to replace the Storage Pit with a Wood Cellar. So the mod works on its own, but doesn't when I have my normal mod list loaded. Maybe one of the other adaptive storage mods is interfering with it?
Lorebot 29 Aug @ 4:40pm
Adaptive Primitive Storage compatibility is definitely not working for me. Double checked my mod load order and that I've got everything up to date. Started a new game and built a Wooden Storage Pit, tried to upgrade it to a Wooden Wood Cellar and got the error 'Can't be overlapped with other storages'. Not really sure what more I can do than share a log and my mod list, so here you go:

Asgahn 29 Aug @ 3:13am
Hey, one question. Why is there a wide cooler but no wide vent?
Matsumoto Rise 28 Aug @ 10:20pm
I have a question, didn't the official absorb this mod? Why update it?
Draconicrose 28 Aug @ 8:57pm
Looks like, when replacing sleeping spots, colonists will build without removing the sleeping spot, causing the build bedrool/bed to just disappear. This was working correctly before.

From the stack trace it might be an incompatibility with Sensible Bed Ownership.
Lorebot 28 Aug @ 6:56pm
@memegoddess I'll start a new save and try it out. Maybe it's because I'm trying to replace something that I put down before the mod was compatible? I'll verify my files and let you know what i find.
Meme Goddess  [author] 28 Aug @ 6:14pm
@Agaros007 ~ I don't see any hidden pipes in this mod, I only see "Water pipe" and "Water pipe (in water)", what are the exact names of the things you're trying to replace?
Meme Goddess  [author] 28 Aug @ 5:44pm
@Lorebot ~ I get a message saying that I can't build them right next to each other, but it does let me replace perfectly fine. Does that issue happen with just Adaptive Primitive Storage and Replace Stuff enabled?
Meme Goddess  [author] 28 Aug @ 5:31pm
@Leutian Kane ~ Ohhh, you're talking about changing the material it's made from, not replacing. Yeah, I might look at that, it's something that annoyed me recently as well.

@Agaros007 ~ I'll download that mod and add compat, shouldn't take too long from the sounds of it.

@ThatOneBloke ~ I'd have to look under the hood, but if they're anything like dispensers, they're considered walls. So if you were to build one in front of a vent, then it wouldn't reach the wider room. Would probably be the same with normal vents.

@Lorebot ~ Oh, that's not something I ran in to with testing at all O.o I'll take a look at it
Lorebot 28 Aug @ 12:29pm
@leutiankane in vanilla Rimworld there is no electric stonecutter's bench so that has to be coming from a mod. I believe Fertile Fields adds one? Not sure about other.
Lorebot 28 Aug @ 12:27pm
The compatibility with Adaptive Primitive Storage doesn't seem to be working. I verified I got the update and the error message when trying to replace the cellar has changed to 'Storage can't overlap' which I think has to do with the way the mod keeps you from building the cellars too close together. Most of them are treated as being larger underground than above, so you can't place them adjacent to each other. I'm guessing the code that's running that check is preventing them from being placed on top of each other as a replacement even if they're flagged as replaceable in the tags.
The Rabid Otter 28 Aug @ 10:30am
RIP Uuugggg. Thanks for carrying the torch, Meme Godess.
ThatOneBloke 28 Aug @ 9:18am
nutrient paste vats from VE nutrient paste seem to stop over-wall wide coolers from doing their job despite the former not blocking the latter from being built in the first place. not sure if this is an issue on your end or theirs
Agaros007 28 Aug @ 7:36am
Dosnt work with no water no life (Continued) i wanted to replace Plumbing with hidden Plumbing, would be nice if that would be made possible :) Thanks for your work!
Leutian Kane 28 Aug @ 12:26am
ok so basicly the game states *interaction spot overlaps with X building* when trying to upgrade materials of the stonecutter workbench both basic and electric versions. bu you CAN upgrade the basic to the electric version of the stoncutter bench just fine. And when trying to upgrade from vanilla wall light to modded wall light, it just says "something already placed on the wall"
Meme Goddess  [author] 27 Aug @ 10:16pm
@Leutian Kane ~ Can you give me a specific example of basic -> electric, because it should work with all of them. For example, hand tailor bench can be replaced with electric tailor bench
Leutian Kane 27 Aug @ 8:38pm
and so far with the stonecutting bench just the straight bench not the VE addons, you cant replace basic with electric and if you change the material either are made out of to 'upgrade" them they dont replace , it just goes red.
Leutian Kane 27 Aug @ 8:36pm
awesome specificly the reason i asked for wall lights is ive made a stuffable version of the wall lamp and it wont auto replace, even tho its a child of the base wall lamp
Meme Goddess  [author] 27 Aug @ 8:36pm
Yeah, (electric) workbenches are already supported. Is there one from a specific mod that you're using, as in not Vanilla Furniture Expanded: Production?

As for wall lights, yeah, I'll take a look at it ^.^
Meme Goddess  [author] 27 Aug @ 8:25pm
@Leutian Kane ~ That's not already a thing? O.o If not, yeah, I'll add that
Leutian Kane 27 Aug @ 8:24pm
Also Wall Lights would be amazing as well.
Leutian Kane 27 Aug @ 8:24pm
any chance of adding support for the other workbenches aka stonecutting bench /electric stone cutting bench etc.
Meme Goddess  [author] 27 Aug @ 8:18pm
Added support for Adaptive Primitive Storage ^.^
Meme Goddess  [author] 27 Aug @ 1:19am
@🍓Berri🍓 ~ What's the bug?
Meme Goddess  [author] 27 Aug @ 1:19am
@Lorebot ~ Damn, you weren't kidding, they really just said "No". Yeah sure, I can add support for it when I'm free ^.^
🍓Berri🍓 26 Aug @ 7:40pm
Thank you for keeping this mod updated, I have noticed that it seems to have a bug with sensible bed ownerships new gravship logic, no idea if that would be a patch on their end or your end, but just wanted to make sure it was reported, thank you for everything you do ^-^
Lorebot 26 Aug @ 5:41pm
Goddess, if you would deign to add compatibility I would be most humbly grateful. I ask the author and all I got was 'No'....
ExplorerRowan 26 Aug @ 2:56pm
Sad to hear about Uuugggg/Alex. I didn't know him, of course, but I was subscribed to most of his mods, and always appreciated his work. May his memory be a blessing.
Meme Goddess  [author] 26 Aug @ 1:27pm
@Lorebot ~ As of 1.6, mod authors can set up the replacements themselves by setting the replaceTag. If they haven't though, I can add compatibility for their mod to add those tags ^.^
Lorebot 26 Aug @ 5:08am
To be able to replace things from other mods would you need to update this mod for compatibility or is it something the mod author can do themselves? I just started using Primitive Storage and it's got some cool stuff, but the cool cellars it lets you build are pretty expensive to build and very inconvenient to upgrade. I'd really love to be able to just replace them with the next version and slowly build up to the biggest one, kinda simulate slowly expanding the cellar over time.
VitaKaninen 26 Aug @ 2:17am
I mean on the overlay. It shows in red instead of green.
Meme Goddess  [author] 26 Aug @ 2:02am
@VitaKaninen ~ Technically it is vacuum-proof, it just exchanges between 2 rooms
