@Kusterka_a Double check if there are no hidden files and that you have the correct folder. The error about the file _delete_me.vdf should be gone.

I deleted the "_DELETE_ME" file but the error still occurs... there is no file in /Data/ anymore. Help me please.

It's the hidden file in Gothic II/Data.

well thing i get the message "delete illegal VDF: _DELETE_ME" but i cant find it not in the game data nor in the steamworkshop folder, run a search on all partitions of the pc and i couldn't find it, my game run fine till yesterday then it said out of nowhere it requiers the toolkit (the old one was gone) downloadet the new and now i get that error code but the file i should delet is nowhere

You'll only need to subscribe to it if other mods need it. Examples of mods that need it: Autosave, Free Aiming, zComboFix, ... By itself the mod does nothing and has no effect on the game.

Should I subscribe to this toolkit, if it's not required by any mods in the current workshop? Does it have any effect on the vanilla game by itself?

just read the communicate, was written illegal VDF: _DELETE_ME so just find it and delete and ll work fine

@Van der Graaf Thanks for reaching out! That file is a left over from a previous Gothic session that seemingly didn't clean up properly. In your Steam directory find the Data folder in Gothic 2 ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gothic II\Data ) and delete the file _delete_me.vdf in there. It might be a hidden file.

After installing this mod, game that was running fine until today, now shows error message at start saying "J:NINJA: Illegal VDF: _DELETE_ME" and I don't know what to do with it. Help appreciated
