Build From Storage

Discovered what may be a mod incompatibility with Build from Inventory - Continued, introduced with the new 1.6 patch. I had both mods installed because the descriptions imply different functions; prior to the recent 1.6 patch, I had zero issues, but as of then, selecting an item to build that has a minified version (in my case, walls and columns from Minify Everything) will cause the UI to disappear and the game to run, but be unplayable.

Note that this happens with my full modlist, but not a clean devtest with just the mentioned mods running, so there may be other mods involved; but running with either of the build from X mods running but not the other works as expected.

As Build from Inventory also covers the functionality of this mod (a thing I didn't know until testing today) it's not necessary to have both, so I figured it was worth mentioning, at the very least.

seconding the request below, it would be awesome to have a hotkey you can hold to suppress this mod for a second

loving it btw

Is there a hotkey or way to supress this? when you try to build a new biosculptor pod it gets every biosculptor pod from storage before building a new one. on the grav ships space is at a premium so i frequently pick up and store biosculptor pods.

@Riskaz
"While double checking to make sure I had the table in my storage I made a plan to place a table. Instead of placing the old one, the pawns instead brought materials over to build a new one."

i will look into it, i have not had a ton of issues but im sure there are edge cases

@riskaz,

can you provide more information about what is failing, with medieval overhaul? I will dig into it when i have some more time and information

Oh it does just work now with blueprints, it didn't before

TY MODDERS

Doesn't seem to work with stuff from "Medieval Overhaul" for some reason.

It's a bit odd... it seems like the blueprints mod has its own designator function it uses instead of rimworld's or something, so the patches from this mod don't end up getting used.

No worries if you can't figure it out! I tried myself and failed already :steamhappy:

@captain_shitface, Nope, it just started working now!

@Lily Did you make a compatibility patch for this & Blueprints? I finally went to go add one myself, but it seems to be working just fine for me :o
ProgrammerLily  [author] 21 Jul @ 4:22pm
@Kupie

i will be honest... i have never made a compatibility patch before, do you have any information on what would need patched, i am installing blueprints now to see the issue
Kupie 15 Jul @ 5:09pm
Any way you could implement a compatibility patch with the 1.6 fork of blueprints?

Very nice! You even used reflection to get a Protected field... I just always use krafs publicizer on everything 😆

an update has been made
ProgrammerLily  [author] 11 Jul @ 7:02pm
thank you!
VitaKaninen 11 Jul @ 4:21pm
Ok, thanks! Also, I just noticed the mod is 95 MB. Maybe the source files were left in there by accident?

So the mod currently only does matching materials

Will this also choose buildings made of different stuff, such as when I place a plainleather bedroll blueprint, but have a Bluefur bedroll in storage, or when I use wooden table blueprints in a monument, but have steel tables in storage? Or does it need to be the exactly identical building?

Enjoy!
