Please use original version of the mod, as it's already updated: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2099101052

Howdy! Thanks for picking up my slack <3 I've updated the main branch to support 1.6 as well as fixed the bug with the mod settings superseding the world generation selection. @Snowdrop feel free to update from upstream if you'd like the fix to also be applied here.

I2G_Nick and others with the same issue, Rimworld itself moved that advanced menu to the world generation menu as opposed to the tile selection menu. So when you are picking and choosing which factions exist, it's in the lower left now.

Damn, it for sure is Alpha Biomes, oh well, I use so much dev tool to modify my maps that I don't need alpha biomes I guess xD it's not even just alpha biomes biomes that are affected, just having both mods destroys the ability to generate a map.

Tried a huge variety of custom sizes including copying numbers from the vanilla sizes, it literally fails to generate a map every single time, huge waste of time, I have many mods but why would any mod conflict with this?
Po_Polsku 16. aug. kl. 9:13
why theres no mod that let making bigger maps without turning off narrators ai? (sorry for my bad english)
I2G_Nick 7. aug. kl. 16:18
its fine for me, the only issue is that the "advanced menu" doesnt exist on my end. i have harmony installed and everything and i know it used to be there in 1.5
amefurashi 7. aug. kl. 10:43
Like Kamosiek, I also encountered an issue where the map generation failed and I was returned to the title screen when using Alpha biome in conjunction with this mod.

There are also recently released mods that avoid this issue and achieve similar results to this mod here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3543638542&searchtext=map+size
This is recommended until compatibility between this mod and Alpha biome is established.

no, yall gotta just make a world, choose a starting tile, then save it. Then you go to saves folder and you need to modify this exact save and set map size to whatever you want. I dont know much how is it gonna work with some mods tho. AND DONT USE THIS MOD. after you modify save file, map size is going to apply to new tiles, so you need to resettle from the starting one. I hope yall understand my english xD, if need any help with that then just ask, cus its really easy

It wont work like u think it works :) it change map size ONLY when u start a game so adding this in mid save wont work :)
Karmizy 6. aug. kl. 12:10
so start a game without this mod, load a game, then save, then add the mod ?
Kamosiek 3. aug. kl. 10:35
yall just make a save and then modify its map sizes

It crashes for me as well when I attempt to start a new game aswell

It crashes for me as well when I attempt to start a new game - generating the tile results in infinite NREs and I have to force-close RW.
Kamosiek 28. juli kl. 15:40
i think the problem could be that "alpha biomes" was updated, not sure tho
Kamosiek 28. juli kl. 15:35
this mod crashes for me... someone said on the original mod that its not compatibile with alpha biomes, but it was working fine previously... so i dont know but indeed crashes on map generation for me
RusselJenkins 28. juli kl. 0:52
not sure but i think this mod has a conflict with Progression:worlds mod

Doesn't work for asteroids/satellites
I have changed the size in the mod options, it doesn't reflect, even for newly generated maps.
Alt 19. juli kl. 16:06
@ Those saying "it isn't working": With this mod, that option isn't visible in the parcel menu. To access it, go to the main menu, select "mod options," and choose your size from there. Hope this helps someone!

This mod does not appear to work. I don't know what else to say. It doesnt change map sizes.
Sepheroff 14. juli kl. 10:58
Have tried multiple times to get this to work and it just doesnt. ive even tried it without mods other than it going and just doesnt do anything. no error codes or anything either
Snowdrop  [ophavsmand] 14. juli kl. 4:21
@zebez I made a small misleading error in the description. This mod was always modifying the start site map size. I will change the description. In your case, if you start the Gravship scenario/start from the space, then the space's tile will have this specific size.
zebez 14. juli kl. 3:14
"Also, allows for setting the default map size to use when generating tiles (in case you forget to use the Advanced menu)." This doesn't work for me, I set it to 300x300 in mod settings, start a new game as The Gravship scenario, I don't go into the advanced settings. First place I land on is 250x250.

тетеря, блин 12. juli kl. 14:52
wow. is it possible to make couple of preset sizes so only they could be used for other world's points of interest? I mean, I'm so tired from squares, but on the other hand I don't want every map to be 16:9 😢
Felnel 11. juli kl. 15:25
Thanks.
