this is really good. this is what sans should be like in a fighting game, a complete zoner who prioritizes damage and dodging over flinging people around. while he doesnt have alot of moves, i get thatll proabably come in the future. otherwise, this is peak

Motivation's a hard thing to deal with, I understand everyone's want for progress, but the dev's a person too.

Your mod is wonderful as is, hghg2305, work at your own pace.

make DI move a different way and look at the prediction.

it's the easiest way to tell you'll be hit.

your DI is the distance and way he will dodge.

Not criticizing the character but is it okay he's bad against rush down characters or is there something I'm missing? Also I'm struggling to tell when previewing an attack if it'll hit me because I'm use to just seeing "negative frame advantage", is there someway to make this easier?

i was about to get 2 replays of this character to make an edited last breath based fight to show my friends but when trying to get the first replay I got this epic last breath cutscene to play by accident when i died. This might be the best sans based mod on yomi lol. (btw maybe this was just an error on my side but the audio that plays for the cutscene repeated on loop until i closed the game? might be on me tho, PS i love this mod :] )

Any attackable projectiles (Robot's bomb, Wizard's darts, Cowboy's bullets, etc) that overlap Comedian's attacks count as touching the bone and takes the user's hp, which is both really annoying and seems like hacky code involving hurtboxes. Is there no way around it to fix it?

I think you have really hit the nail on the head Lavender. When Sans has bad time active he feels like a complete character, but up until that extremely rare occurrence he feels somewhat hollow, with a large number of his moves being worse versions of each other, like the small bone that slides on the floor.

as for the 3 more frames big bone thing, idk how big of a change that is but as long as they cant dash right through the move even while it clearly should hit then its good, hope thats the case

I have! You're very right, after initially casting it, it really just becomes a cosmetic projectile, though I can't complain about it since it's once of the few moves Comedian has to protect his space

have you tried his big bone attack? that move has no range even though the attack goes far, I kinda wish that had a longer hit-box since it uses a lot of frames for something so close

I don't have any feedback about anything in Bad Time mode because I never actually got to use it, which I think speaks to Comedian's lack of identity.

Also I crashed in my last fight, no idea what caused it but I was fighting a Miko, very unfortunate, the fight was coming along very nicely.

3, the "Behind Ya" Gaster Blaster is not worth its cost.
For 2 charges of what I could have used to delete projectiles and reset momentum, I can have a Gaster Blaster that is almost completely by j u m p i n g once.
Not my favorite option, and I only ever used it to make the stage look more hectic and cool.

4, I don't see the point of sending a small bone towards the opponent. I just used "Bone Hops".

5, Here is the obligatory "More supers please :]"
Especially think there should be more Gaster Blaster stuff, menacing and cool, love em.

1, Teleportation rather than "Weaving" may be a better movement option, being able to displace yourself vertically amidst an attack could prove useful in maintaining a close vicinity in close-combat.

2, The move where you change the stage, can't remember what it's called, I isn't really that dangerous aside from that one variant that sends long and short bones sequentially.
I mostly just used it to delete projectiles or reset momentum, so maybe increasing the offensive value of the other variants may be in order.

In none of my fights did I lose (except the one where I was hit with surprise Sadness),
so it's not as if I'm crying a river after having not understood the character.

I think Comedian is the best Sans we've gotten so far, and is fun for both sides of the arena, though he does feel like he has an identity crisis, long or short range, both push Comedian to do the opposite once committed.

I am by no means an expert in character balance, and may be extremely off-base, though I do perhaps want to offer some suggestions and feedback on the moveset.

Finally got to use Comedian against a friend, got some things to say about him.

1, I assumed the playstyle for Comedian was to constantly keep a distance and set the stage, though during one of my fights, I actually died of Sadness, even though I was winning, so I have no idea what happened there

2, Due to the paranoia of the Sadness mechanic, and the fact that Comedian has mechanics such as the Bad Time mode which encourages close range, I did try to stay within a reasonable range of my target, though this emerged the problem of not being able to particularly do much when an opponent closes the gap and hits you fast

And trying NOT to keep a distance is a problem too, as Comedian's meaningful movement options frequently only provide him the option to retreat, which then incurs Sadness
