Also, I haven't gotten in game to check for s ure, but they lack the UI indicator that they need a lvl 3 Wizard Tower to summon.

Dumb question, but why the T4-ified Caustic Worm, as opposed to the regular one?

Cool idea!

I'm seeing a lot of people just ask for more features and complaints about a few things (Which is fine) - BUT I just want to be that one guy that says thank you for your work. You're awesome for making mods for an amazing game
Iron knight Fe 25 Aug @ 5:52am
You Should ad a market of the Dunes Acts as mine Gives Gold based on Desert And gives food based on 40% or 25% of City Gold income . If cant grow Food just pay for it
Bast 22 Aug @ 4:51am
Ya there is earth, but i wanted more sand and scorpions/scarabs. And order tends to be more towards "angelic" unless some of the older mods get updated. But i get what you mean
Coelrus 21 Aug @ 8:17pm
@Bast Uh, why shouldn't an Egyptian themed faction have a rock-based materium tome? What do you think the pyramids are made of? Also as someone who also just made an Egyptian themed faction a bigger problem is that there are too many tomes they can pick for most games. Ancient Egypt had elements of materium, order, shadow and astral in their culture. The tome of warding even has an ankh symbol on it.
Bast 21 Aug @ 4:43am
God i would love to see more desert themed tomes, would love to play a egyptian themed architect playthrough but most of materium tomes are rock or construct themed

Yes I'm going to change the visuals for the unit and enhancement. I recently learned how to do these so when i find the time it'll be fixed.
MattStriker 17 Aug @ 8:52am
Love the mod but the Desert Warrior model is kinda broken for me. It's got swords everywhere. Two swords of different models in each hand, one behind the back and one floating between the legs...
Merethys 17 Aug @ 8:18am
Will the Desert Warrior get his own model at some point? It's really confusing that he just looks like a male Shade (He even has the shadow effect around his legs). I feel like some of the Mystic helmet options would be a better fit.

Also the Sandwalker transformation is just Inner Mastery. I can only speak for myself, but I'd rather have no visual effect than a duplicate.
Wauthan 15 Aug @ 1:55pm
@toe ring that binds them Yes it's fully up to date
toe ring that binds them 15 Aug @ 1:13pm
Is this updated for Griffon? :)
Wauthan 14 Aug @ 1:50pm
@KingofApples Seems I notified you for no reason. The whole issue was for some reason caused by a completely different mod, that apparently altered the ocean tiles, which in turn allowed them to be terraformed. My apologies for wasting your time. This is the first time I've encountered this kind of interaction between mods in AOW4. :steamfacepalm:
KingofApples  [author] 14 Aug @ 11:37am
Das no good; I'll fix that
Wauthan 14 Aug @ 9:06am
Not sure if the latest patch broke something, but the terraforming spell now also changes ocean tiles to desert. :)
KingofApples  [author] 25 Jul @ 1:35am
I'll look into fixing this when I update the mod for the new dlc.
Drezzy 25 Jul @ 12:59am
For me, Desert warrior holds 2 swords in one hand.
Mettkar 23 Jul @ 2:01am
Yap, Desert Warrior's model is bugged for me too.
Master Necro 17 Jul @ 3:28am
I do use a lot of mods, could be.
KingofApples  [author] 17 Jul @ 2:30am
It's visible when I test it. It could be a conflict with a different mod. Is anyone else having the same issue?
Master Necro 17 Jul @ 2:01am
Desert Warrior seems to be bugged, model is invisible.
.Master Jiren, The Strongest 15 Jul @ 10:56am
since people are making suggestions, i'd absolutely love egyptian style tomes. this one already adds worms, i'd love to see some scarab and scorpion units. maybe sphinx constructs. im super annoyed that Dragon Lords lack a sphinx head option.
Apocryphal 8 Jul @ 1:11pm
I think there should be a "dirty tactics" enchantment, where you deal a little extra poison damage to targets that are slowed or blinded (not stacking).
Coelrus 5 Jul @ 11:01pm
I can't help but feel that if you're going to be making a tome to turn your faction into desert dwellers then there should be some way that your warriors can blind your enemies by kicking sand in their face. Without requiring a godir to cast a spell for it that is. I think that a unit enhancement or a change to the "desert warrior" is the way to do that. Also does the "desert warrior's" ability to bleed/poison stack with unit enhancements that provide bleeding/poisoning? As for the missing SPI, I think an oasis farm or greenhouse is a good idea. But I am more partial to an idea I'm having based on Dune where I heard that spice is created by the giant worms. Inspired by that I would suggest a mine replacement where worms are raised to harvest them for wealth. It would give more gold per adjacent desert and provide a worm in combat like the golem mine does with golems. Regardless these are just ideas I had so it's really up to the modder what they are willing to do.
Fenris 5 Jul @ 9:47pm
I suppose one could try to stretch the Tranquility Pool as a kind of oasis, but it doesn't really seem appropriate or thematic to Sands to me - none of the rest of the tome speaks to Alchemy, Transmutation, or trade (Golden Realm). My initial perception is that this tome leans towards being relatively balanced for a mod tome, while a free magic material is a bit strong. Oasis Farm would be a relatively vanilla style province improvement. My proposal for the glasshouse city structure might be pushing the boundaries a bit, depending on how much income per sandy province is set. That said, it would give a bit more flavor to terraformer factions selecting sand as their favored terrain.
Jenkem 4 Jul @ 3:41pm
What if... you get a free magic material when getting the tome?
Fenris 3 Jul @ 11:03pm
I would suggest an 'Oasis Farm' province improvement with +food for adjacent sand provinces as a default starting building, then research for an economic 'Glasshouse' city structure for a glassblower's guild. Maybe it scales +1 gold / +1 production off the number of sand provinces in the city's domain? Glass would be used in both construction and trade - this would play to both the sand and industrial themes of Materium while being thematically appropriate to the tome.

An alternative special province improvement could be a Caravanserai, which is basically a rest inn for travelers on a trade route. I'm not as sure how that would translate into what it would do in terms of game mechanics, though. I think the Oasis Farm is a better idea.
Dr. Sinclair 3 Jul @ 9:28pm
This looks good! definitely gonna fit this into my tome collection. Thank you.
Drakenhof 3 Jul @ 2:13pm
The spice must flow
Furin 3 Jul @ 1:46pm
Replace voiceover with Darude. You're welcome.
Kingmaker 3 Jul @ 11:27am
This looks intriguing. I'm interested to try it. If you get that voiceover done, this will be a five-star mod!
DeathUnbound 3 Jul @ 11:26am
Hi there! may be user error but I can't seem to view the image in the description in enough detail to actually read it. Looks intriguing, love the design of the tome art.
Gwynbleidd 2 Jul @ 11:34pm
Thanks for really nice mod! I have some ideas you could probably implement. What about some unique buildings? For example "Oasis farm" (province building) which grants a bit food per each ajascent sand province. Or "Dune quarry" (city building) which grants some production points and extra 10 siege points to the city. Another idea "Sand shaman cabin" (province building, portal type) which grants "sand camouflage" to any army visited it once per 3-5 turns for several turns.
Coelrus 2 Jul @ 9:07pm
How about a unit enhancement that provides a unit with a "sandy vortex" that follows the unit granting it a slight evasion chance and the ability to inflict blindness on attacking melee units(kinda like the poisonous trait). Or more simply just provides the "wind barrier" ability, to the unit.
KiwiMoonk's Friend 2 Jul @ 8:27pm
I would say like a magic material "spices" province that would make gold if there was a special resource node
KingofApples  [author] 2 Jul @ 7:07pm
Glad everyone likes it. If you have a suggestion for the 6th slot drop it in the comments.
Kazeck 2 Jul @ 6:37pm
I like this very much! Dune stuff aside, it's just nice to have a desert tome in general, and Materium used to feel unloved but with all the custom tomes and the giant dlc it's definitely loved now.
