it's too beautiful to just not work or hasn't been updated in a long time
it would be nice to have more such mods that instead of changing parameters, add a new model reflecting the actual mining capabilities

Any plans to fix the mod or give permission to someone else to work on it? This was one of my favorite and most usefull models on the workshop, and I hate to see it go to waste. :steamsad:

That COMPLETELY changes the not-working of the mod. That means NOTHING was working, mod or not. Modders aren't responsible for the base game. I swear the amount of stupid they allow on the internet...

Another vote for DX11 :) and the ability to add upgrade modules would be awesome too :)) I really liked the look and the usefulness of this mod before upgrade modules came out.

It's more than just poly count, having 1 block to replace 4-5 also costs the CPU less to process.

I posted a similar comment on the Large Assembler mod by rocket2guns... If this refinery can replace 4 "vanilla" refineries why in the hell does it require 5 times the power of a single refinery? Mass production, industrialized scale, it's all about efficiency and cost savings. If it costs more to run a larger version of something that it would to run numerous smaller versions, no business would EVER use the larger version, it wouldn't make sense from a business perspective!

Essentially, you are penalizing people for wanting to lower their poly count by requiring them to use more energy, thus requiring more fuel or solar panels to do so.

Drop the power usage requirements of this thing to between 300% and 350% of a single "vanilla" refinery and it would make sense to use it.

A must have for large mining operations. Can refine a tremendous amount of resource when you link 10 of these together through a sorting system (each one refining specific ores automatically).

your Large Refinery is pretty much one of the stock-mods we used ever since you released it. Its a very handy mod and I like the fact you balanced it as well, with higher Power-consumption and a defty sum of Steelplates to build.

When I recently picked SE up again, I noticed something that irked me a bit ever since :)

I like the model you made, but the very first building-stage is basically a huge, invisible block you can all too easily bump in. Thats quite dangerous and already led to damage on both personnel and building-ships alike. Do you think you could, for example, change it so it starts as a crate, much like the Messhall-pack? I also like the final model, the trough those 'balls' sit in looks kinda off, though. Would you consider closing its topside up? Or maybe get rid of them alltogether and simply have those tanks sitting on a platform.

I know you probably moved on a long time ago, seeing how old the mod is. I could help with a model, I got no skills with texturing or getting it in-game, whatsoever, though.

For weeks I've seen this mod and resisted the temptation to subscribe to it. Well that was a mistake, there's no shame in installing a mod that create a massive improvement in refinery speeds. I thought going out of vanilla would be in some way cheating, but then the lure of the mods kicked it.

To be honest at first I was rather annoyed with this mod. 6500 steel plates?! That's a ton of trips if your still in the phase where all you have is a simple 2 head miner and the little life boat from the asteroids scenario. Back and forth, back and forth etc... Oh the names I called the mod designer! (Just kidding).

Anyway my unhappiness vanished then I dumped 10K of platnium into the thing and watched it practically vanish before my eyes.

Constructing this refinery is a royal pain, using this refinery is pure joy. Highly recommended, but I'll suggest you try to prebuild all the parts first.

I'm wondering about the same thing @stealth. Does speed multiplier affect the large refinery? it doesn't too much feel like it glancing at it briefly

I read that large refinery is not effected by refinery speed multiplier. Is that true?

Can you make a GravGen with X10 the gravity ? this will reduce the need for tons of them used in gravity launchers. and even in gravity drives. . and possibly a artificial mass mass block 10 as well.
have it take up the same amount of space, but use More power to ballance it out ?
something i have been looking for and havent been able to find.

actually as Dongonzales stated... this is one of the reasons I love this mod. since the devs wont optimize this game to run on something better than a rock.... and yes I mean a filthy rock laying in the mud for the last 20 years that cant figure out 1+1 let alone this game.... >.>
