Hi Not.Silent, I'm born in Zurich and living the city. We went to the Bluebell Railways in the south and two times to the North Yorkshire Moors Railways. Another ggod spot is the Locorama in Shildon, the home of the first gas turbine APT https://collection.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk/objects/co507852/br-gas-turbine-train-apt-e-power-car-powered-unit . I'm the next two weeks in holidays, but will anwser the chat starting 27. of July. Cheers Peter

Hi Peter, Were you born in Switzerland? I went to Zurich in 1994 and saw my first ICE1. Enjoyed a double deck train around the lake.
That is great info for me from you. Great drone footage.
I also went to the Ffestiniog in 1994. While on the slate mine tour at Blaenau Ffestiniog, next to the railway, my wagon broke a wheel axle below me! What a noise. It was their first breakage since opening. Luckily the train was moving very slowly! Best regards.

Hi Not.Silent, wow, thank very much for the link. I was never in Austrailia. This Park has something for everone to explore. Even for railway and motor fans too! The animal wildlife park is great. We had in Switzerland a narow gauge Garratt Loco vom South Afrika SAR, but she was to heavy and was sold to Wales UK. (Nr. 60 Drakensberg) Links: https://vor.wales/locomotives and https://www.festrail.co.uk/ Cheers Peter

hello again Peter,
I had a guided tour (just me) around one of our 'railway workshops' yesterday. It is a re-created narrow gauge line utilising old pieces of our railways from the past, and narrow gauge from South Africa.
I am very lucky to have it near me. It has a preserved historical tram line linking with a newly opened station on our suburban system. Our main car museum, and another transport museum too. Here is the link. https://www.whitemanpark.com.au/
One steam loco being renovated is an articulated Mallett. One set of cylinders is high pressure at one end, and at the other end low pressure. Best regards.
