This is great, especially with the update allowing to pre-choose grid sizes for specific items/categories. I think I might use this full time instead of the geometric mods.

Did some more testing, and the boat bumper crash seems to be related to boat alignment, not geometric drop.

The game crashes sometimes when placing boat bumpers with 1 item left in the stack, likely a conflict with the mod's geometric drop function.

I liked the mod, but it could replace Gemetric Drops, Place Statues, Snapping Tills if it gets better polished. I'll wait.

@Walen, thanks for pointing that out! I'm a returning player, so I just installed your mod. I didn't realize it was an improved, built-in feature. Thanks again for this mod; it really makes the existing feature much better.

@Retro Soul I will not do a port to DS, so you are welcome to reference anything that you find useful. I expect it would be drastically different because I don't think DS comes with Structure Alignment and there is no need to work around networking.

Keep in mind that I am still working out the default experience so things are subject to change.

This is amazing.


If I can suggest - maybe update the Mod Description Page with the default key binds, maybe a gif to show how they cycle on key press?

@Walen with this mod, Winona's glasses from the shadow side stop working. At a minimum, it is impossible to teleport through wormholes or create bridges.

@TheVillain The default cycle grid key is V. It would have changed when you placed something that uses 2x2.
I will update tilling to automatically use 3x3 soon so it can safely be disabled as a cycle option in mod configs.

Also, great mod. Sorry, should have started with that, really nice to have all the QoL touches that Geometric Placement provided and Snapping Tills merged into the base game Grid Alignment system

How do I cycle grids?
I've looked in the control pages and changed they key bind, I now see that you meant the vanilla key bind (though it is now labelled 'mod' which is weird?) for just general mod conflict as you mentioned.

At the moment the Till grid is either 2X2 or Hex.
It was doing 3X3 but I dont know why it stopped :(

@Keknutui I'll fix the cannon, but the one for the lightning rod is working for me. Is it happening with a specific camera mod?

@TheVillain 3x3 needs to be cycled to if you haven't previously used a Digamajig with alignment toggled on. I'll change that because other grids are not as useful. I do not recall changing anything with tilling recently, so it could also be a conflict with another mod.

The default Left Shift toggle conflicts with mods like Action Queue.

I'm a bit confused, been having some issues with the farm grid, cant do a 3x3 anymore which was ideal for me

You mention in the Mod Description "I recommend changing the Structure Alignment toggle key bind"

Do you mean the vanilla one or does this mod add a secondary key bind to enable/disable this mods grid?

@Walen Tile boundaries break if you try to put a lightning rod on the ground or a cannon on a raft.

Good job, the mod is getting better and better. It would be good to improve the mini signs issue, because sometimes you can place them on chests that have already been placed, and sometimes you can't. And from the things that would be good to add, it's an option to turn off Snap Assist. And also the ability to turn off the display of structures and held items while placing them.

After placing items, the alignment grid doesn't go away. If I hold the toggle key the grid disappears until I let go then it comes back. I have to put an item in my cursor and put it back for the grid to go away.

Can you change the position of grids with an odd number of tiles. The thing is that in this case, half of the tile is shifted, and as a result, it is impossible to place an object in the center of the turf tile (which appears when you take a pitchfork). I want to get the result as in your picture of the mod. But now everything is shifted. And I can't read and understand the code

Even a good mod. With this 9x9 grid it is already some alternative to Geometric Placement. However, the fact that the tile outline is under the placement grid makes it moderately visible with such a 9x9 grid. And you can't place mini signs in placed chests.

The official shadow copy transparency is 0%, so the shadow copyof the placed object will cover the grids on the ground. I think the transparency of the shadow of the pre-placed object can also be slightly adjusted!:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:

very nice mod!Can you add some other items that don't have “placer” but the grids are still needed ?For examle,Walls/Garden Hoe/boat kits,I think this will greatly help improve the usefulness of this module!
