Tried verifying the cache. It worked after that. Thanks.

check your steam workshop folder, make sure its actually downloaded. if steam's done its job and downloaded it into your mod folder, there's no reason for it not to show up.

Downloaded from the workshop, but it doesn't show up in the add-on list in game.

there can't be two leaders with a white background: the jersey system means that one of those leaders will use one of their alternate jerseys instead in that case. the only possible confusion is city states, but these have other big aesthetic differences from civs, and are the only ones to pair white with black. i get your complaint, but vanilla civ 7 also has white background leaders, and im reluctant to abandon all white backgrounds unless it's more people than just you who find it confusing.

Special cases: Leader with white background colour as neighbour of a city state or of an other leader with white background colour. On the map not amusiing.

Different background colours are useful on the map. With different background colours You can see at first glance which territory is owned by which leader. On the map the icon colours dont help very much, especially to see the frontiers..

i could replace all the current white background leaders with an off-white for clarity if more people agree! i personally find it easy to distinguish because all the white background leaders have a distinct secondary colour, but lmk anyone if you disagree, as this is defo something that can be adjusted.

Already City States use white background colour. There no leader should use white background colour.

Love how much thought you put into this mod! Well done!

his colours are fine! so i left them as-is. there wasn't much comment to make, either: everyone knows theyre based on the american flag, and they also suit his character model.

You literally dont list Ben F? You just ignore him?

I subscribed to this mod out of curiosity, completely unaware of how beneficial it would become. Totally worth subbing to. It really shines a light on the flawed original colors.

For Windows users that want full control over the colors of a given leader, I wrote some code to let you do it very simply. Take a look!

Love all the research notes on why you chose each colour for the leaders.

afaik it's still not possible to implement civ 6's system where you could choose your colour scheme during setup. hopefully firaxis implements this soon: it wasn't available from launch in 6 either tbf!
arkantos21 23 Jun @ 8:29pm
Can you choose the colors?

I love you, thank you. Ever since the game first released, I've wondered.... why can't I change my leaders colors? this is exactly what I needed. Having the modding community is the best thing ever :income:

As someone who did think there were a few too many browns and yellows around, this is a satisfying shake-up.
