@Melious well that is because i made the map against the source engine mapping principles so i can only negate this issue unfortunatly

Very nice map, but it has some performance issues, it's noticable on weak PC, when i turn my head to look at far away lands it drops FPS really hard, from 150 to 20-30 with lowest of 2 (i don't have this issue on other maps)
Other than that i like the map, hopefully this issue will be fixed :steamhappy:

@decay I've written an extensive toolset for map exploration that allows me to peek into the map logic and general contents of the map. I was looking at 'active' (i.e. input-output connected) entities and saw the ambient_generic with a .wav file for the sound. Admittedly, I was a bit curious about map's hefty size but I didn't investigate it properly.

Nice map!
One nitpick, though: you only need to store your sounds in .wav if you want to make use of sound-looping cues. Storing long sounds as mp3 will save LOTS of space and the sound will work fine in game, despite stock valve hammer refusing to play the sound. Hammer++ plays mp3s just fine.

@decay#fixtf2 Changed my display to Henry Miller, but yeah.. The sandstorm could make it harder for players to see... would be neat for a tank battle where players would have to rely on sound more than sight

@COMBINE_UNIT_4652 i already have the submarine model,it's from the hl2 beta,and i use those assets,i was hesitant about adding the submarine but after you say it,i will be adding it in the next update,as for the hl2 loast coast models,they are already used :)

If you know the map "Depot [HL2RP]", you Should use the model of the submarine. It would be sick. You can also add the ship wrecks from Half Life 2: Lost Coast.

As a suggestion, can ya add some dust particles and heat blurr effect? It would be atmospheric.

I think the map could use some more nature, like random boulders here and there, dead trees, bushes. I also think a junkyard somewhere in the dunes would be a good addition, aswell as maybe some ruins.
