The game has both general camera settings and individual ones for each individual ship. Some mod ships use general settings, so they work correctly. However, if a ship in a mod has individual camera settings, they must be corrected by the mod author.

thank you the camera was really annoying. sadly it does not work on modded ships.

I don't usually comment or rate mods, but you've made me want to!

I've been playing the X series since 2015, starting with Terran Conflict x3, so I'm a huge fan of the series!
I have all the DLCs up to x4, but unfortunately, after the Time Lines DLC, I had to stop playing because of the unstable camera that moved with the ship.
I'm used to a stable and stiff camera; it was unplayable, but thanks to you, I can start my adventure again!

You can customize it by changing all of the 0.01 values in the dat file to 0.1 or 0.2. Makes it so there is a veeery tiny amount of movement still, so it's not as "stiff". Amazing mod, though. Always thought it was ridiculous the L and XL ships were practically off the screen when turning!
