I can't make it 0.0 because it'll end up with two barrels down when you accidentally had your operators phase through each other. Glad you had it fixed on your end 👍

Small apology for my comment below by the way, I found another mod that copied the entire human_params file. It works like a dream now! I can also recommend just putting it at 0.0 to get rid of the mechanic entirely. Love the work!

Minor details make all the difference, mate. Cheers o7

Foobar, I don't mind. My mods aren't that sophisticated anyway.

Hey, man. I'd like to add this mod as a required item for my unit mod in the workshop page with your permission.
Lukewarm Coffee  [author] 19 Sep @ 8:28am
Deluke, the mod will just make them go Low Ready when stacked close enough. Please read the note in the description and see the demo video.

This mod seems to be mostly placebo? I did not notice any change, so I did some testing. I changed the threshold to 0.0 and gradually made it bigger in steps of 0.1.

After running the same test over and over again, I noticed that this value has zero impact on the distance the units start shooting over each other's shoulders. I have not found any noticeable difference between vanilla, this mod and even different values.

How did you test this exactly? I really want to make this work.

> Is there a way for this mod to make it so that stacking behind shield units uses the vanilla shooting threshold?

I don't think there's a way to do that.

But you can somehow work around that when you get comfortable with the spacing. See example image [imgur.com]

Is there a way for this mod to make it so that stacking behind shield units uses the vanilla shooting threshold? That way shield formations aren't nerfed.

this makes the game better

@Kebabit For the default game, when you stack your operators tightly, it negates their low ready and their muzzle goes through their teammate. This mod is a godsend, mainly for people who are very detail oriented for realistic game play, who found the default issue annoying.
Kebabit 23 Jun @ 6:35am
yeah i dont see how this changes anything still? from what i can tell, get far enough back and the gun goes up
Lukewarm Coffee  [author] 23 Jun @ 4:57am
Kebabit, If you have them close enough (0.7m apart or less), the one at the back will have his gun up.
Kebabit 22 Jun @ 10:11am
isn't this.. already a feature? get up against a teammate and the gun goes down no?
quaLera 19 Jun @ 7:34am
amazing. keep it up.

@Fabio_The_Unseen devs also told me that including a walking speed selector for each operator wasn't good for their vision, hope some modder do it.
Fabio_The_Unseen 18 Jun @ 4:33pm
THANK YOU! I've been begging the devs for low ready because I'm tired of my guys pointing or phasing their guns at each other. Tbh it's ridiculous the devs told me that low ready didn't fit their vision for the game. Lol yeah we need a new intro cinematic and voice lines but no low ready.

It isn't low ready but it solves a problem the devs aren't even looking at for some god forsaken reason. I really love the devs, but the lack of low ready in update 1.0 really annoyed me
Deluke 18 Jun @ 1:16pm
Man there are modders out there that create fun and new content to mess around with, and there's modders like you that just make the base game better. Really love this one
meanjune 18 Jun @ 9:01am
You're a legend for this one.
zldalla 17 Jun @ 10:23pm
i love u so much

Much much needed mod! Our replays thanks you!
Dragorm 15 Jun @ 2:56pm
This fixes the problem the vanilla game has when your soldiers are too close to one another, their guns clip through: Enabling them to shoot over, and also breaking their previous low-ready state.

Thank you so much for this great mod!
Ninja_Prime 15 Jun @ 11:24am
Great mod, this should have been in the vanilla game, excellent work!!
leprosychaun 15 Jun @ 11:09am

Incredible work! This is a mod that I needed for a long time. Now I can FINALLY get the troops into the right formations as I imagine. Thanks!
Lukewarm Coffee  [author] 15 Jun @ 1:17am
KIMURA, appreciate it! I'm doing all this for that sweet sweet cinematic replay 👌
KIMURA 14 Jun @ 4:54pm
One of the best mods for realism in DK2 – thank you so much for making this possible
