Probably because it's disputed territory. Though it looks like Transnistria is a country here so idk, maybe it's just a personal preference.

i didnt do it by hand i just cropped this image from https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fkxkj5ch2hy711.png then changed the colors using onlinepngtools and then i put the image into the ages of conflict map folder
