For Ck3, probably not. For PoD, maybe depending on what "Grand Cities no longer will have wrong Special buildings" in the changelog means. The Ashirra and Ikhwan changes may also have caused some issues. I'll try to take a deeper look in the next week or so when I have more time. That being said, base PoD is making really good progress with integrating this submod. It should be merged into the main patron branch by end of the week if you have that.

Does this need to be updated?
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 28 Jul @ 5:08pm
Yes on the first part, no to the second. Honestly, I didn't even know there was a Sorcery Restricted game rule.
force200 28 Jul @ 2:53pm
Are Vampires supposed to be able to get the Sorcerer trait via the Contact the Magi decision even when the Sorcery restricted game rule is selected?
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 24 Jul @ 3:37pm
Happy to help/talk/answer questions. I definitely agree that Jerusalem had the best potential to be an interesting Grand City. Good to hear that I did a decent job capturing it, especially considering how many years it's been since I last modded a game.
Giganch 24 Jul @ 3:10pm
My goodness, so quick! Thanks so much! Absolutely the most interesting Grand City in POD and the location is great as it gives a kind of "feud" situation with the rulers of Cairo!
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 24 Jul @ 2:38pm
Barony thing should be fixed. To clarify a bit more on the Jewish thing, their special requirement to rebuild Jerusalem is picking up those regional decisions. Also, thanks for the kind words.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 24 Jul @ 2:34pm
Each version of Jerusalem was supposed to have a unique set of requirements, and Islamic Jerusalem's set was controlling certain baronies. Unfortunately, I never could get that mechanic to work. I thought I commented them out but must have missed some. As for the second, that was intentional. Just as all Islamic-derived faiths (Ashirra, Ikhwan, el-Shaitan, etc.) have Islamic Jerusalem, all Jewish-derived faiths use Jewish Jerusalem.
Giganch 23 Jul @ 9:10am
As a Mashriqi + Tariq el-Shaitan(sinner) Vampire, I'm unable to upgrade any of the building in Islamic Jerusalem to level 3 due to "Must rule barony of XXX", even though they are part of my personal domain. Possibly because its the "barony" and not "county"? I've also never seen something say "rule from" as a requirement before, usually it's something like "completely controls". Second bug I noticed is that non-hunter splats with Jewish Jerusalem (tested with vampiric lilith faiths) have access the the Judges special decisions, with a lot of them seemingly giving their rewards to your dynasty, making very powerful vampire and the possibility of using sorcery. Absolutely top notch mod otherwise!
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 28 Jun @ 6:52am
Happy to help! If you ever want to see the full list of requirements to see or take a decision and I'm taking too long to see your question, the README file in the mod's folder has a full list of all decisions along with their requirements
Giganch 27 Jun @ 9:28pm
Gotcha! Thanks! So many decisions that I wasn't sure which ones led where
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 27 Jun @ 7:20pm
You're looking for the Reclaim the Promised Land decision. For it to pop up, you need to complete some other decisions namely: have Strengthened the Judges, completed the vampire origins decision tree (except Golconda), and if in Sam Haight completed Mortal Magic . Beyond that, you just need to be a Judge for it to be visible.
Giganch 27 Jun @ 5:38pm
Which decision or action grants the Hebrew culture? Currently a Shepardi with the Arabian Empire title.
Ironman_Mk11 25 Jun @ 11:23am
I am SOOO mad I did not see this before getting 50 years into my current Egypt/Middle East playthrough...

Definitely looks interesting. Bookmarking this for later.
Giganch 21 Jun @ 7:26pm
Wow, that's quite the amount of features... There's a weeks worth of freetime booked.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 14 Jun @ 1:03pm
My thinking as well. I believe they're planning to add mages after finishing the Asian expansion.
Uroshnor 13 Jun @ 8:55pm
The main PoD mod team seem to be preparing to add mages to the mod, so probably best to wait until that's ready before adding the Rambam anyway.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 13 Jun @ 2:52pm
I probably would, if for no other reason than to give him a connection to Nachmanides (maybe play off of the Helen-Menele idea). However, he's a mage rather than a sorcerer/kabbalist so wouldn't fit well with the existing mechanics. I definitely don't know enough WoD lore to add mage mechanics.

Suggestion: Maimonides playable/present in applicable bookmarks.

Canonically, He is active from 1000s AD and not only discovers immortality but also becomes the only person known to have turned a vampire back into a human(albeit with some enhancements) in the 1500s.
He may have been part of a group of judges called the 'Lions of Zion' and will survive to the modern day as a guardian of his people by night and an old Mossad agent named Mr Klein by day.

Happy to look into things like this, and sorry that I couldn't be more help. At least there's the relatively easy workaround
Uroshnor 11 Jun @ 3:48pm
Weird. Well, thanks for looking into it, anyway! In the meantime, I've just been making sure to give unlanded characters at least one county before I give them any duchy titles. Easy workaround. :)
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 10 Jun @ 5:38pm
Thank you for all of your debugging and the details. Truly thank you. However, at this point, I have no idea what is going on. I've checked every file and every effect that I'm overriding. I've tested it with multiple game rule presets. I've read through the logs (which did reveal a few minor but unrelated bugs). I have no idea what could be calling the reset function when you grant a title while it is your capital. Reclaiming the Promised Land is the only thing that even cares about your capital. I'll keep looking into it, but I'm completely stumped.
Uroshnor 9 Jun @ 8:13pm
I did some more testing in a Setite run, and found the following:
1. The Jerusalem reset is not exclusive to Judges, nor to characters for whom has_jewish_derived_faith_trigger = yes. At the very least, it also happens for Road of Apep characters (and presumably others).
2. The order in which you acquire grand cities does not seem to matter - I took Jerusalem before Cairo in this run, and it was still only Jerusalem that got reset.
3. The reset affects the main Grand City building (grand_city_01 et al) in addition to the buildings added by the submod, but it does not seem to affect the Pit of Malkav.
4. The reset only seems to happen when Jerusalem is the capital - I just tried granting a duchy to a landless character after moving my capital to Cairo, and neither city got reset this time.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 7 Jun @ 2:53pm
Possibly. Honestly, I have no idea, but I've heard about Constantinople doing the same for people playing just the base mod
Uroshnor 7 Jun @ 1:42pm
Huh, interesting - I held both Jerusalem and Cairo in my Judges run, and I never saw Cairo getting reset. I took Cairo shortly before Jerusalem in that run, so maybe it only happens with your most recently acquired grand city or something?
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 6 Jun @ 2:54pm
Update: This seems to be an issue with PoD because of a recent update by Paradox. Apparently, this has been popping up randomly in other grand cities too. I'll keep an eye on it
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 5 Jun @ 3:51pm
I've tweaked a few triggers to be more restrictive in what causes a reset. I'd be curious to know if it helps.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 5 Jun @ 2:56pm
Interesting, interesting. Thank you both for checking as that narrows things down to something incorrectly calling POD_reset_jerusalem_effect, though I still can't seem to replicate it.
Uroshnor 4 Jun @ 8:38pm
I think it's just your submod's buildings that are getting reset - I just looked, and my Jerusalem still has a level 2 Pit of Malkav even though the reset has definitely happened a bunch of times since I upgraded it.
Uroshnor 4 Jun @ 8:34pm
I just did some experimenting. It does also happen when granting kingdoms, but it only seems to happen when granting a duchy or a kingdom to someone who's not already landed.

I'm using other mods, but afaik none of them add any buildings or grand cities, and I can't think of any reason why any of them would be causing this.
nsinger998 4 Jun @ 7:39pm
I don't use anything that would conflict and if i do, I use the compatibility patch. actually, I had 'lighthouse of alexandria' in my load order but not sure it would cause the problem we're talking about.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 4 Jun @ 6:22pm
I can't seem to replicate the issue in debug mode, and I don't have time as of right now to test it outside of debug mode (that'll probably have to wait a day or two). Besides PoD, are you playing with any other mods/submods that add buildings or grand cities? I might be overriding something in them or vice versa. Do you know if it happens when you grant a kingdom too or just a duchy? Does the city's special building get reset or just my submod's buildings?
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 4 Jun @ 4:15pm
Thank you both. I'll look into the buildings resetting.

As for the title, thank you for bringing it up. It was something that irritated me during development too; I just never bothered to fix it. That was the nudge I needed to actually doing something about it.
nsinger998 4 Jun @ 8:00am
'Judge Kohen Gadol' is just plain weird as a title. A Kohen Gadol is just the high priest of the temple and beneath the scope of what the Judges intend to do.

since the head of faith is called 'Nasi' Then the head of faith title should be 'Sanhedrin'. A secret 'Sanhedrin' would make a lot of sense lorewise.

So it would something like this: Nasi Judah of the Judge Sanhedrin. or 'Judge Secret Sanhedrin'.
nsinger998 4 Jun @ 7:28am
I report the same thing as Uroshnor. Also loving the mod by the way.
Uroshnor 3 Jun @ 8:49pm
Hi! Loving the mod so far. Bug report, though: seems like every time I grant a duchy (while holding Jerusalem, as a Judge), all of the buildings in Jerusalem reset to level 1. At first I thought it might be a bug in your on_actions, but it looks like you don't have any of those, so I'm not sure what's causing it.
wx_dark_wolf  [author] 2 Jun @ 4:10pm
Lol! That would be a mistype on my part which I'll fix right now. The submod works perfectly in 1.16. Apologies for the confusion

It would work in 1.15 too with just a few tweaks because PoD changed some stuff for hunters in the update.
bleddyn05 2 Jun @ 12:37pm
does anyone know if this still works in 1.16?
Sparc 27 May @ 8:50am
Very ambitious!
