I can try. I also want to fix the HUD for ultrawide.

Does it just involve extracting the games files from the DB and potentially editing XML with UI element positioning? Hoping it doesn't involve editing actual images.

No, in order to make the main menu not look stretched in 21:9 and 31:9, you need a new, separate version of the mod.
I could make it, but unfortunately I don't have a 21:9 and 31:9 monitor to test the correctness of such a mod
