The color of the BLU version looks a little weird. Maybe tone down the saturation a bit? Then again, you only have headshots in the showcase so that might just make it look more out of place. Maybe it looks better on the full body view.

Definitely do it on Scout and Engie at least since they're confirmed Americans and this is as you said based on an actual US hat. I wouldn't mind Heavy and Pyro either I can see it working on them just fine

Anyways, the cosmetic itself looks nice, and i quite like that you kept the shells in default color on BLU Team too.
