I think this mod is doing something weird with armies. I mobilized an army and deployed it to a front and it lost 15k of it's total 50k like instantly. This is before the war even started.

is this compatible with Better Politics Mod?
stlemm 1 Sep @ 1:54am
In the National Expenses tab, the military wages are set to 5 levels. However, I keep getting the "Low Training Rate" notification under the Current Situation alerts. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Quilaarq 1 Sep @ 12:53am
Lo probaré ahora, dado que modificas muchos aspectos de la guerra, quería ver si es posible que las demandas de "Derechos de inversión" o "Monopolio de compañía" podía extenderse de 5 a 15 años, o que sea modificable

@тайный бибизян its in the mod, the person credited with it sent me a loc file lmao
waddleking  [author] 29 Aug @ 4:46pm
waddleking  [author] 28 Aug @ 8:21pm
woah, we got enough ratings to have visible stars ? i love you guys
waddleking  [author] 28 Aug @ 8:18pm
to be honest, right now it doesnt even matter, it just gives you a nice boost if everyone in your government likes war. you can pretty much ignore it and you probably wouldnt notice
Odysseus 28 Aug @ 6:39pm
I'm not sure how I feel about the separate war support mechanic, an optional mod without it would be amazing
waddleking  [author] 28 Aug @ 4:47pm
added link in desc, ty

i actually had a separate conversation with westblocc about this, and we came to the agreement to limit max acceptance to a very low value, so the ai will never seriously consider it, but it is available to the player as a way to get rid of some infamy at the price of having no army, and so its main use now is just for wargoal, but it can be used by player if wanted
Sαкєηѕ 28 Aug @ 7:05am
I partially agree with Westblocc. The current demilitarisation should definetly be a wargoal. But maybe add a treaty option to maybe restrict a country to a certain military size if thats possible?
Like as example a Treaty to restrict France's military to only 150 batallions
waddleking  [author] 27 Aug @ 5:01pm
i think it should just be that ai never has a positive acceptance even if they're the receptor, having it open to player deals would be interesting to a degree
WestBlocc 27 Aug @ 4:41pm
I would suggest that demilitarization treaties can only be possible to force over a wargole and not as a normal treaty option.
waddleking  [author] 27 Aug @ 4:38pm
also the 50 years thing isnt to do with this mod, i just checked
waddleking  [author] 27 Aug @ 4:36pm
@WestBlocc can i see this agreement ? that sounds uhhh interesting
WestBlocc 27 Aug @ 4:01pm
And other Nations make weird agreements with demilitarization in it. For example USA get demilitarized but get a monopoly in Netherlands.
WestBlocc 27 Aug @ 3:46pm
I dont get a penalty when i want an agreement with a bound time of 50 years or obove. Is this caused by the latest update, or maybe a mod confliction that wasn´t there before?
waddleking  [author] 27 Aug @ 12:41pm
@Georg3mx you would have to deal a lot of casualties or bring their war support down in other ways, as the wargoals not being occupied and having no occupation brings a significant positive to their ticks
waddleking  [author] 27 Aug @ 12:39pm
oops, thanks for bringing this to my attention, it has been fixed
Chicken 27 Aug @ 10:29am
I was randomly demilitarised as well, without agreeing to it

bug?
Sαкєηѕ 27 Aug @ 9:32am
So apparently I randomly got demilitarised. How long does it take to get rid of?
Georg3mx 27 Aug @ 8:20am
since i Dont have to occupy my wargoals in order to make my enemy country capitulate, would i theoretically be able to conquer say wales from Britain without landing on the isles? if so, i believe this would be a problem.
waddleking  [author] 27 Aug @ 5:04am
if you have a rivalry you can get it for cheaper, also its literally capped at like 90 i think theres something else going on there
tsnfosst 26 Aug @ 9:29pm
Wrong, in late game, due to the great population if u have to dismantle a great power, it costs 120 infamy! It can be barely used. Can you please fix it?
B. Mirry 26 Aug @ 6:13pm
W mods
waddleking  [author] 26 Aug @ 6:23am
well i added demilitarisation so tell me what you think
waddleking  [author] 26 Aug @ 3:22am
something like total collapse into civil war is something imo that should happen organically rather than be forced in a way, as 'forcing' someone into a civil war isn't really something that you can do directly, rather more indirectly via radicals from long war and from wargoals being imposed. Unfortunately vic3 just doesn't do multiple revolutions at the same time so a true warlord state would not be possible. Also, if you dismantle US or germany then this kinda happens, as they get split up and they all have claims so they tend to go to war with each other and consolidate.
YepThatsMyName 25 Aug @ 7:17am
I wonder if it'd be possible to add like a total collapse wargoal.

Like,it's not just all the subjects getting free and all the cultures inside getting their own country but like. . .thrown into a warlord era type of disaster. Where all the non-primary culture states just try to remain independent while all the primary culture warlords try to reunify what they can. Could even make it take the state turmoil/radicals to determine whether it's government would change to a different one. Like "Oh there's a surprising amount of socialists in this part of the country. What if they rise up while their entire country is collapsing to try their hand at ruling."
waddleking  [author] 24 Aug @ 3:02pm
yeah i was thinking of adding something like that, but i was thinking of whether to just cut it in half or impose a limit
hello_moto2901 24 Aug @ 1:50pm
limit navy etc?
hello_moto2901 24 Aug @ 1:50pm
itd be cool if there was a wargoal or treaty etc to disarm a nation for some time or limit its millitary
donalforducks 14 Aug @ 5:33pm
saw your pfp and got really confused for a sec lol. Great to see the maker of one my favorite mods is a fan of q.u.q
waddleking  [author] 14 Aug @ 12:06pm
most of it like the mobilisation options, laws and stuff is fine, but there are some overlapping things like the war exhaustion formula
Alma_Negra 12 Aug @ 11:24pm
Does this conflict with Ultra Historical Warfare?
waddleking  [author] 6 Aug @ 9:29am
got it
Archscientist K 5 Aug @ 7:14pm
@WaddleKing Well... Yes. It's honestly hard to put ideologies in generalist boxes like "pro-war" and "anti-war" sometimes. Plenty of ideologies would be either depending on the circumstances, but that seems beyond what the mod currently does... So, since there is precedent for Vanguardist being "pro-war" (the Soviet Union) and it would be lame to literraly be the Soviet Union in-game and having your ideological base be against every single war... Then I think keeping Vanguardist is good lol

Anarchists should definitely be anti-war though. That's like the one socialist group who would be anti-war 90% of the time.
Tdubs188 5 Aug @ 6:40pm
great mod i dont play without it
waddleking  [author] 5 Aug @ 4:18pm
i removed the socialists and communists after i updated dismantling, i kept vanguardism because from what i can tell its like communism but dictatorshipy
Archscientist K 5 Aug @ 3:14pm
Happy to help! And yeah, I'm not speaking from the perspective "pro-war" means "warmonger" haha
But still, socialists in general were almost never pro-war. It would only make sense with defensive wars and if the war has some ideological goal (or even some other niche cases, like being a council republic and attacking a capitalist nation, since that could be seen as "spreading the revolution"). But in a generalist sense, socialists are pacificists. Class over nation and all that.
waddleking  [author] 5 Aug @ 2:31pm
i do appreciate little suggestions and corrections like this
waddleking  [author] 5 Aug @ 2:28pm
thats interesting, ill admit politics is not my strong point. i do think you are right in this case, socialists shouldnt be pro war. also pro war in this case more means support this state in the war rather than like loving war
Archscientist K 5 Aug @ 11:10am
I was looking at war support triggers for IG and movements to make a patch to include ideologies from PEC, a mod that changes ideologies and IGs quite a bit, and I noticed an oddity:

Socialist and other leftist ideologies are considered "pro war" when I'd say they shoudn't. Historically speaking, socialists were quite anti-war. I think IGs with leftist ideologies (especially anarchists) shouldn't add to war support unless the war was defensive or specifically about furthering some ideological goal.

Maybe there are other factors the mod considers (I haven't looked into it too much and I'm no real modder), but I thought I should point that out anyway.
Theoretician 31 Jul @ 11:46am
@Archscientist K I always read them too and value them!
waddleking  [author] 27 Jul @ 8:59pm
unfortunately i dont think disabling white peaces specifically for an article wargoal is possible right now, (maybe in future).
for the bidirectional dismantling the AI should add the wargoal (if they have the tech), and i dont think they should get it for free and not have to pay maneuvers and infamy cost.
it kinda sucks rn that we have to do all cb modding through treaties since wargoals are still not changeable at all pretty much
Aero 27 Jul @ 7:11pm
I think that the dismantle empire cb should prevent white peaces and be a both way thing if possible (so if the person starting the war loses they get dismantled) since i dont think any great power would allow an opponent that publically stated they intend to utterly destroy them and their empire to get away with it should the coin flip
