When you die with gas mask on breathing sound isint goes anywhere isntead it stack top of the new gas mask so if you die again it can stack unlimited...

Using the mask without a filter or shattered already gives you no protection.
As for constant depletion while worn, yeah, I can do that.

cause i been playing on a post apocalyptic map and i been like roleplaying that i need to use the mask to survive outside, and i thought it'd be neat if there were settings that would let me roleplay that easier without relying on the honors system (using my imagination)

i think it'd be cool if there were settings to change how the gas mask works.
so hear me out on this, what if there was a setting that makes it so if you use the gas mask without a filter, or use a shattered gas mask, your health slowly drains. and another setting that makes it so that the filter is constantly drained (while using the gas mask).

Mmmm.. just so you know.. i'm trying to make it togglable instead of trying to pull it out on weapons menu.. which is frying my brains out from doing it. (don't worry.. i won't post it anywhere)

Hmm. how about a slider in the options tab to edit time in-game? it would give players an ability to sort of make their filters suit whatever theyre using them for. Unless thats too hard to implement bc i know nothing about coding lol

The filter usage is based on the amount of damage that the gas does, so either the bombs you're using do a f*ckton of damage... or i left the filter duration ridiculously short so i could test the filter swap animation faster.

any way to lower the filter usage speed? whenever i drop some gas explosives each filter lasts around 1.5 sec if even that before needing to be replaced

There is a popular addon that adds a VHS tape playback effect to your screen, and it would interfere with the gas mask covering your screen with a missing texture.

So wait if it's a weapon does this mean you can't use guns and weapons at the same time? I already have "Modern Gasmask" mod which is extremely similar so I might not need this mod.

But I love people are putting more love towards perfecting the Metro 2033 Gas mask idea.
