Would love something similar for Antlions when under Gordon’s command for the sake of power tripping like turn them into true apex predators the combine will be running scared from

would it be possible to make it so some soldiers are assigned normal better combat ai and some are assigned aggressive combat ai? feel it would spice up combat since currently i feel gunfights with either mod are just... eh? with better combat ai the combine soldiers just wait in cover to take potshots at me and dont advance at all, and with aggressive combat ai they just push too often and feel too suicidal

Because I play with a mod that buff the combine soldiers accuracy and makes the combat more enjoyable to me. But to install it I need to replace the bin folder and this only works with the pre anniversary version =P

Context:
I play Half-Life 2 on the pre-anniversary version. To install these mods, I need to decompile, take the .cfg file, and place it into an autoexec file to launch it.

With that said:

This line of code is what targets the Combine soldiers with the Better Combat Mod logic, correct?

So, if I remove it and instead use the Aggressive Combine mod, will the Combine soldiers use that mod while the rest of the NPCs continue using Better Combat AI?

Usually on gmod combine mods the combines just looks at me and doesn't shot sometimes, i wonder why. You can say addon conflicting but same thing also happens without mods, i guess it can be high fps issue

It's possible yes. There should be combine tactical variants addon in workshop. It has option to pressure relentlessly which is what this mod uses.
