sorry but i don't think i will be making it work better with gm++. i draw the line on basic support and making sure nothing catastrophically breaks. if you use gm++, you can utilize the modules it has instead of my addon
CRAZY 16 May @ 2:59pm
hopefully that one made sence more or im a lil retarded
CRAZY 16 May @ 2:59pm
ok doke so regular hl2 viewmodels yk they stop swaying once they reach bottom of the screen even if you push your mouse down. the enhanced hl2 viewmodel makes it when the viewmodel reach bottom or top of the screen it sways a little bit and when you continue to move your mouse down when its already at the bottom of the screen its sways even more. which make its look weird with the gm++ addon enabled
BaJlepa 6oJlbIIIou' eJlDaK  [author] 16 May @ 7:33am
uh i genuinely dont know what you are saying. could you use more periods?
CRAZY 15 May @ 3:35pm
i have this problem i thought it was gm++ causing it but it was making it more noticeable it was the enhanced hl2 viewmodels when i look down and keep moving my mouse down my viewmodel sways downwards but does not move making it look shaky but it didnt look bad but when i disabled the mod regular hl2 viewmodels stop and dont sway anymore when moving the mouse downwards all the way to the border of where the viewmodel can go it can happen when i move my mouse upwards too what im saying is ae you able to make it so the viewmodel doesnt sway upwards or downwards when it reaches the border of the screen because it looks bad downloaded with gm++ make it compatible?

it overwrites the nearz argument in calcview which always breaks shit. i might be able to apply a patch though

this seems to be an error with gm++, as the "neck.is_offsets_allowed" function tries to get a variable called "wep" from seemingly nowhere. my mod appeared in the call stack due to hooking hook.call
CRAZY 27 Apr @ 2:04am
did i send the right error

That seemed to have fixed it, I'm hesitant to say for sure though...for now
If you recall, I once complained that you removed threshold convar as that update made steps higher than ~30hu not affected by Smooth Out Stairs. I'm thinking maybe it had the same cause as what you just fixed and you haven't played in multiplayer with Smooth Out Stairs back then. Because right now it's both fixed even with CBobbing, and threshold convar is no longer needed since everything is smoothed out correctly just the way you've shown in your video response back then

fixed now
BaJlepa 6oJlbIIIou' eJlDaK  [author] 26 Apr @ 8:41am
oh my god never mind i just tried out multiplayer and i see the problem, this wont take long to fix
BaJlepa 6oJlbIIIou' eJlDaK  [author] 26 Apr @ 8:37am
works for me: https://media.rlx.quest/u/c2257f2a-488a-41c9-bb48-af81962c5b44.mp4

are you sure you don't have anything else enabled?
is your game modified in any way other than mods?
what build do you have, x64, x32, vanilla?
what does this command print out?: cl_smooth_steps_get_patterns
are you on singleplayer, multiplayer? if multiplayer, is the server dedicated (as in runs from srcds) or is it hosted through the in-game map selector?
Lombaxtard 26 Apr @ 8:19am
yeah no thanks... For some reason the more you update your CalcView-based addons the more addons they become incompatible with. Somehow, for me even with all addons disabled except for this&smooth out stairs any step/slope makes viewmodel travel up and down independently of the current view angle. Meanwhile your pre-Extended Calcview version works with CBobbing and some other stuff, even better than that is the day one release and that that's even more compatible and works with much more complex CalcView addon combinations. I'm just glad there's github and many backups I made over time. No hate, just confused is all
BaJlepa 6oJlbIIIou' eJlDaK  [author] 26 Apr @ 2:06am
this is for smooth out stairs, enhanced hl2 weapons and enhanced recoil. the reason you've been getting the wrong addon name is because i simply forgot to rename them accordingly. it's not a virus.
OrphanMaker68 25 Apr @ 7:39pm
this is for enhanced recoil
Kirtison 25 Apr @ 5:53pm
look at the top left of the pop-up, it had a addon name that need this.
COBALT 25 Apr @ 2:49pm
v same here
redboi 25 Apr @ 2:26pm
