What maps do you reccommend that have very large playable areas and work best for NPC battles and such without being claustrophobic? Because I have genuine Claustrophobia, But also like engaging NPC battles in gmod with enough places for characters to take cover, and be in wide open spaces too.

However I would have loved to make the map larger, but some technical issues didn't allow us to make it larger.

But a map with the same goal and location, this time way way larger even in his unfinished stage is in the work at the moment :p

The file size of the map is not linked on how large a map is, a map file is roughly always around 10mb to 100mb for maps with heavy lightings settings such as HDR, what weight the most are the custom content added into the map.

The more a map use custom assets outside of HL2, the more it will weight, hence why this map weight a lot for his size ! And why you can find a whole landscape map weighting nothing around the workshop

For the file size, I would've thought the map would have a bigger playable area.

There's is infact an Eiffel tower in the skybox, perhaps you have encountered an conflicting addons that make your game crash. Does the game crash even after disabling all of your addons for testing ?

Sadly, the map is currently in a "finished" state, it won't receive update at all. However, a newer map set in City 13 Paris, and roleplay this time is in the making, and will get a Breen office within the Nexus :p

Perhaps one of your addon contain a model/texture that could conflict with the one on the map, resulting on a crash upon loading the map. I could suggest to disable all of your addon and test the map to see if it remain crashing or not

all the other maps i use dont do that, to add some more context

I didn't initiated the project, let me add you to talk about this issue.
And I will add the Marquis OG creators, I assume that's it my fault that I forget to credits them.

Not only does this use props and textures from Marquis (whose original authors are not credited), but I can see they are also the modified versions I made in my port... It's funny because lots of people have asked me permission to use assets from my port, but you weren't one of them.

I hope in the future there will be a bigger map where you can ride an alliance armored vehicle.

akeen, the combine used it as some sort of watchtower from what i gathered by looking at it, it's probably something similiar to the citadel in city 17, although not as important.
