Hi, I wanted to ask if it’s still possible to let some countries use AGOT+ DNA while letting others use this new DNA?
TheLoneWatchMan 23 Sep @ 2:32pm
Thanks for the great mod ! Two quick things, I noticed that the DNA doesn't want to apply on canon children (works great on already spawned/historical characters) instead going back to normal AGOT DNA, have you encountered anything like that ?
I also noticed that the lines "NOT = { has_memory_type = agot_bonded_a_dragon }" in the portrait modifiers txt caused some instability on my end.
bropossible 19 Sep @ 1:08pm
Do some of these not take affect immediately? I've noticed Daemon's (Rogue Prince) DNA doesn't change until some years later.
Sublimis 15 Sep @ 5:04pm
Thanks bro for updating anyway!
mannymay  [author] 15 Sep @ 2:30pm
@Master Necro aw thank you! I do my best
Master Necro 15 Sep @ 2:07pm
It is a good day the MAM mod got updated!
mannymay  [author] 14 Sep @ 12:07pm
@Sublimis shouldn't cause any errors between AGOT+ and this mod any time either is updated
Sublimis 13 Sep @ 4:21pm
Does this need an update for the most recent update of AGOT+?
Atticus 19 Aug @ 12:41am
Thank you, great author.
NHNster 18 Aug @ 7:08pm
Thank you for fixing it :steamhappy:
mannymay  [author] 18 Aug @ 7:00pm
@NHNster I fixed that bug with an update a few hours ago, so try unsubscribing and resubscribing to make sure it is up-to-date!
NHNster 18 Aug @ 5:54pm
I found an error where Aegon IV, Arthur Dayne and Ashara Dayne are deleted when I go into any start date post Dance of the Dragon. I tested this with just the AGOT mod and your mod. Could you take a look at this? BTW love your mod, your rendition of the characters make them feel more unique.
AgoxZ 18 Aug @ 11:03am
Everything works now. Thanks, I appreciate your quick problem solving and this mod in general.
mannymay  [author] 18 Aug @ 10:47am
@agoxZ Yes, it was due to a small error with the format change of my rule update. The error has fixed and I just pushed a new update, so if you start a game now with the updated mod, should be resolved and certain characters lifespan changes gone.
AgoxZ 18 Aug @ 10:33am
Hey, I found a bug that kills off Arthur and Ashara Dayne in every timestamp they are available. It also affects Aegon the unworthy. I have traced it back to this mod, wich happend to be updated today. I didnt have the problem prior to the update.
mannymay  [author] 18 Aug @ 7:01am
@1716897701 Thank you very much! Glad you can enjoy it! What characters I do next is sort of based on a mixture of whoever strikes my inspiration and requests people bring to my attention in my discord thread. As for Aemond, I did look into it, a character having a gem for an eye is not a DNA choice, but instead is done through an event option given to players with the one-eyed trait, so it's not something I can code in through DNA.
mannymay  [author] 18 Aug @ 6:58am
@Atticus Thank you for informing me of Viserys III, I will look into it. And, as for the request for the options of House Velayron's appearances, I actually had been working on that, and it is now a feature you can make your choice on in the game settings before starting a new game!
1716897701 17 Aug @ 8:26pm
I absolutely love your mod! Now I can’t play the game without it. Could you please share what characters’ DNA you plan to update in future updates? Additionally, could you change Aemond Targaryen’s eye to have an embedded sapphire instead of an eyepatch?
Atticus 7 Aug @ 12:35am
Viserys III cannot wear armor.
Atticus 5 Aug @ 2:35am
"Could the author please create a submod that allows players to choose whether the members of House Velaryon are Black or White?"
Scarlet Wizard 5 Aug @ 2:24am
Ah yes I see. Will this issue be fixed in the future cause it's funny but weird when there is the wedding night and e.g. Aegon iii is in his black outfit while his wife (a random lady) is naked
mannymay  [author] 2 Aug @ 10:30am
@scarleet wizard yes, this is a known issue even in vanilla with changing default clothing established by the game. Though I coded it so that the chosen outfits now considered the default, it blocks the situational clothing changes. I have however specifically worked it for most characters to change into armor when the game calls for it; example whenever Robert Baratheon is at war or in a tourney or any other scene where the game deems he should be in armor, he should change to it. If there any characters who you notice are not changing like that who should be, feel free to let me know so I can double check it!
Scarlet Wizard 2 Aug @ 7:30am
Is there a reason why Characters can't get naked or armour on?
Mobius 27 Jul @ 2:18am
Didn't even occur to me to check the discord, thanks for the tip!
Znous 26 Jul @ 11:15am
Ah I see, thank you for the clarification!
mannymay  [author] 26 Jul @ 9:43am
@zonus this mod doesn’t/shouldn’t change anything that would make it not be playable with any version of the AGOT mod. The DNA changes show after you’ve passed bookmark selection pages.
mannymay  [author] 26 Jul @ 9:40am
@alchemistre thank you! I try to balance book descriptions but with also adding a bit more diversity to Westeros
mannymay  [author] 26 Jul @ 9:39am
@mobius the list would be quite extensive and it only gets longer with every update, but it is quite easy to find out which is connected to what character! If you have the game open in debug mode, you can find the Historical ID of any character by hovering over them! Or you are always free to message me for any questions. Thirdly, if there are any specific DNAs you like, I post them all individually with pictures as I create them in my thread in the AGOT discord, if you ever want to peek over there!
Znous 25 Jul @ 11:36pm
Is this currently up to date? I'm not seeing the mod's genetics in the start screen.
alchemistre 18 Jul @ 2:37pm
@Marcerys Ladgaryen

@Mobius is right. Stone Dornish are First Men and Andal and are the least impacted by Rhoynish ethnicity and culture. Their appearances are like the Marchers and the Reach (white).

House Dayne are First Men from pre-Nymeria. They sometimes have the hair and eye colour of Valyria but no Valyrian blood (somewhat like House Hightower with hair). Arthur in the show looks much more like Jaime than Oberyn. It is Ashara that is inaccurate, since the books describe her as fair-skinned but that is no matter. OP did a lovely job and it is their vision.

I am not saying any of this to tell OP what to do or cast criticism, but sharing purely for information's sake. My own mod contradicts book DNA so I would not do that.
alchemistre 18 Jul @ 2:10pm
These are quite interesting. I certainly see the combination of book and show in some of them. Thank you for sharing.
Mobius 18 Jul @ 1:11am
Would it be at all possible to get a list of whose portrait info is whose like we used to have? I like to use some for custom characters 'cause they look way better than anything I can pull off right now. I'd totally understand if that's too tedious of an ask though.
Mobius 18 Jul @ 1:03am
My understanding is that the Stone Dornish, and the Daynes especially, are more Andal than Rhoynish, which could explain Arthur's fair complexion
Marcerys Ladgaryen 17 Jul @ 10:52pm
I love Ashara, but i feel Arthur is a lil whitewashed tbh
+HOLY+ War Pig 11 Jul @ 10:11am
Amazing work. I use AGOT+ so miss some of the revamped DNA from them, but your work is superb- a bridge between show and book canon, for sure. Thank you!
mannymay  [author] 9 Jul @ 10:25am
@CHCccccc Thank you, glad you are enjoying it! A lot of the characters I created earlier in my dna-making days are being remastered by me as I'm not quite as happy with them now + paradox has changed dna a bit so some older designs look a bit different. Ashara is one that is on my list, so she will have a update for sure in my next update!
mannymay  [author] 9 Jul @ 10:22am
@svampen the only thing my mod used from legacy is certain characters clothing. In game rules before you start a new game, all other aspects of Legacy of the Dragon can be turned off, so only the clothing options should touch your game if that is something that ruins your immersion on the book-centered world!
mannymay  [author] 9 Jul @ 10:19am
@Nerium Hi! Sorry if anyone was not to your liking! They all appear in game same as in the example photos here on the workshop or all of them available in the discord. But, as for your game break; that's not an issue I've had or seen before. Your game just likely happened to break, because there's not even a possible way for me to affect other mods if my mod is not enabled, even if I for some reason would even want to do that. Happy gaming
Nerium 6 Jul @ 7:11am
After installing it, I saw that the Targaryens looked absolutely repulsive. After uninstalling and unsubscribing, all the models got messed up — even in a new game, the characters looked completely wrong. It broke all the outfits — a piece of damn crap. Now I have to reload all the mods, thank you!
Nerium 6 Jul @ 6:52am
After deleting still visible :(
Aragaki Yui 1 Jul @ 8:18pm
Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for all your hard work on this amazing mod — it's truly enhanced my gameplay experience. I have a small suggestion regarding Ashara Dayne: would it be possible to revisit and improve her DNA? Given her legendary beauty in lore, I feel she deserves a more refined and striking appearance that better reflects her character. I’d really appreciate it if you could consider updating her look in a future version. Thanks again for your great work!
Legacy of the Dragon kinda has to be paired with AGOT+ because both are made to make AGOT into the HBO canon but AGOT is more official art/ book canon and so mixing them makes the entire thing look very messy so in all honestly please drop Legacy of the Dragon from the mod.
Mobius 13 Jun @ 3:35am
@호오라앙이 I did find an older file from a modding site - Daenerys is Targaryen 9 according to the relevant file in that version.
Mobius 9 Jun @ 7:24pm
I could have sworn one of the files had all the first names corresponding to an appearance but I can't find it anymore.
호오라앙이 7 Jun @ 1:01am
Hello. thank you for your work!
Could you tell me which targaryen number is Daenerys' in dna data?
mannymay  [author] 4 Jun @ 1:51pm
@Paul So it just depends if the child of a modded character is already a canon character who has a written appearance in the AGOT mod. So, if you have Canon Children triggered, it will skip canon kids I didn't already specifically mod here. But if it is not a character with coded looks, then my DNA will affect children who are created! So, for example, if in my game Laena didn't die so she and Daemon had more children, their appearance will be based off of Laena and Daemon
Mobius 27 May @ 8:19pm
I mean appearances tend to diverge after a couple generations. I wonder if this affects canonical child generation, if the DNA is the same every time I imagine it would.
Paul 25 May @ 8:18am
I could download this but then i'd be dissapointed in a few generations as this probaly does not affect the dna of most new people
mannymay  [author] 20 May @ 1:57pm
@GodFear Sorry you feel that way, Daenerys has been updated but please don't attribute that to this kind of comment. And, I have not touched Jeyne Westerling yet
GodFear 14 May @ 1:21am
why daenerys is most unpretty? and jeyne westerling is pretty as hell~~~
