And what happenes if I reverse their age with a biocycle? They lose their added skills and beckstory?

Literally every game update broke the patch, I tried to automate it, I hope everything will work without constant updates

OOF. Latest 1.6 unstable build from today causes this to throw errors now:

An absolutely awesome idea, but incompatibility with VSE and Trait icons is a dealbreaker. Any chance for source release so I (or people) can look into patching this?

overlaps with mods that adds abilities and it pushes down the section of the skill to the personality section if you have personality mods

Colonists are referred to as "old man" when they turn 60 regardless of gender.

Is it possible to change "old man" to "elder"? "Old man" makes every colonist seem male :)

Yes, it is expected because we patch the same method and hide each other. It is a pity that Tynan did not split the character window into many parts.

Other mods can already add their backstories for old age, in the files of my mod they can find a template, how the backstory should be composed. The main condition is the tag.

Is it possible for other mods to add new elder backstories? For example, race mods that include their own backstories for the races they add. Great mod either way, really cool idea.

This is a pretty simple but great idea, adding the ability to make older pawns useful again by giving them extra skills and backstory from living a long life, rather than just stopping at the adult backstory and effectively making them just worse adults. I had modded the game to stop pawn generations at a maximum of 40 years old, but I will try this now.
