Hey! I found out a bug with your mod, it disables insulating from fireplaces when this mod is on the server (you cant heat up near the fire) :-)

Mr Crumpet no it does not, this only affects temperature. that said, changing the temperature will affect things like snow, in that higher temperature areas shouldn't accumulate frost. i think it will also cause a faster drying effect in hotter zones - i haven't tested this though so please let me know how it goes^^

Does this also create weather zones? (i.e. snow in cold, rain in warm?)

also @K@me these mods are similar but the one you linked is not up to date with the new temperature system as of writing this. thanks

hey unicorns, sorry for the lack of clarity on this. you can indeed set XYZ coordinates and it will act as the origin point for the zone, i just meant it might take a bit of planning/testing to get it properly scaled for something like mountains (colder the higher you go).

please test it out and let me know whether it works for you, and if you need more help lmk~

hi I installed it, but I am seeing 3 Position coordinates per zone in the config file:
"Position": [
1500.0,
1500.0,
1500.0
],
Is it X, Y and (not used Z) as you wrote? Ie for Altar I could use:
"Position": [
8228.08,
9119.78,
0.0
],
? Thanks

thanks @psyopgirl those are great workarounds. Am going to play around with that.

hi Unicorn, you can use TemperatureZones for this purpose but it will take some setup. you can set temperature affected areas by x and y coordinate and radius but at the moment there’s no z coord. probably the best workaround would be to find each mountaintop you’d like to make colder then create a radial zone around it.

you could also make smaller zones inside of those zones to make them colder at the tip but i haven’t experimented with zones inside of other zones. theoretically it will work so long as your second (smaller) zone occurs after the first larger zone in the json. i’m working on a polygon based zone system in the near future which you could use to do this by height but i can’t give you an ETA at this time.

great mod, looking to install this -out of curiosity, how do you configure each zone? With x y demarcations? I am looking for a general config that lowers the temperature across the map above certain hights and configure zones that way, is it possible?
