Thanks for your work and for publishing it.
I’m playing as the Alemanni — it’s too easy. I’ve already united my tribes, allied with everyone except Rome, and I’m at Rome’s gates.
It’s a bit boring. I expected more challenge. The building management is tedious with all the food and money balancing, though I’m rich anyway.
The mod looks great, but battles feel repetitive — form a line, flank, done. They end too quickly.
What now?

I made the mistake of not playing the Romans. I know the description says they are boosted but I was not expecting every ERE province to have 3 armies. I'm not worried about the Hunic hordes the Roman horde is real.
CoxyUK 7 Oct @ 2:31am
Hi, Sorry... The units in your mod are pretty much the vanilla ones - I've been used to playing radious where there are loads!
Rudi Böllert 5 Oct @ 2:39am
I saw that the cataphractarii of the WRE just has a meagre 24 Armor value - that cannot be right, right? Should'nt they be super heavily armored?
rcorse 5 Oct @ 1:17am
2nde question, is it require to have all other graphics mods with VENUS?
rcorse 5 Oct @ 1:14am
Copy all .PACK files of the subscribed mods from the workshop, usually found at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\325610
Paste to the game's Data folder, usually found at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Attila\data

Hi do u mean the 2 pack files of nova attila and venus or only venus please :)
Yenza  [author] 3 Oct @ 4:39am
@[PnTh] Marcel : For me, the script file changes did A LOT. Try open any folder and write %appdata% to reach the base location, then just further down in folders. You can also try searching for it.
Yenza  [author] 3 Oct @ 4:38am
@Andrew Fish : Hm, not to my knowledge :/ Can't say I've seen the same issue as you're describing.
Yenza  [author] 3 Oct @ 4:37am
@CoxyUK : Hm, let me check if I've missed something - do you have a unit? Any other mods running on the side?
Yenza  [author] 3 Oct @ 4:36am
@TLD_Billy : hehe yeah but there is a limit of characters to the description.. let me see if I can squeeze it in
[PnTh] Marcel 30 Sep @ 12:44pm
I have been searching for the script file without success though.
[PnTh] Marcel 30 Sep @ 12:00pm
Hi, very cool mod, thanks for your work !
Though I experience huge performance drops on battles (with a beefy PC) that I didn't have in vanilla. Am I the only one ?
Andrew Fish 30 Sep @ 10:30am
Hey There i think is something wong with Venus effect i did put the files in the Data folder but my firrst battle (night) with the picts was burning effect on the ground on alot of places where not supposed to be....and when conquered the first settlement was purple color all around.Any fix for that?
CoxyUK 30 Sep @ 2:36am
Hey! Playing as WRE and in the campaign, there doesn't seem to be as many unlockable units as there are in custom battle? Top barracks doesn't seem to unlock many. Thanks
TLD_Billy 27 Sep @ 6:04pm
@Yenza : Great, but I'd recommend you linking those sub-mods in your Description for both Attila and Rome II too so people don't miss out because I bet a lot of people often play a few turns and then quit soon after cause of the increased construction, etc... things and not knowing there are sub-mods to change that.
Yenza  [author] 27 Sep @ 5:38am
@TLD_Billy : and for Rome II it was recently added!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3572763483
Yenza  [author] 27 Sep @ 5:37am
@TLD_Billy : Oh, it is already available! Here it is!
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3501092094
Yenza  [author] 27 Sep @ 5:37am
@Asep_Hejo : You're right, no new units for gara (yet!)
TLD_Billy 26 Sep @ 4:00am
@Yenza : I also hope that you make a similar submod to remove the "Improved strategy" affect from Rome II too to make it closer to vanilla gameplay for anyone interested in
TLD_Billy 26 Sep @ 3:58am
@Yenza : Do you consider to make a submod that remove the increased research, build and recruitment turns affect ? to make it closer to vanilla cause it'll just drag the grand campaign way for too long consider attila required like 220 turns to end and you just take it far longer which make the game even more boring esp. factions like WRE and ERE
Asep_Hejo 23 Sep @ 9:33am
the geramantians doesnt get new unit?
Obese Geese 23 Sep @ 1:42am
Thank you sir!
Yenza  [author] 23 Sep @ 12:47am
@Obese Geese : I believe so! Just put it above and it should take priority.
Obese Geese 22 Sep @ 1:18pm
Is it possible to slap another (slavic) reskin on top of this one and have it work?

I have to say, I am not a fan of the new look of the Slavs, though some units do look nice, the bulk of the infantry (spears and axes) i prefered the old style or something closer to that
Yenza  [author] 22 Sep @ 11:12am
@Kobolo : Don't think so. Too many similar changes.
Kobolo 21 Sep @ 5:24pm
Is this compatable with Radious Total War?
Yenza  [author] 20 Sep @ 12:43pm
@Individual-11 : It is a known issue with unit LODs - update is incoming and most likely a full reskin :)
Yenza  [author] 20 Sep @ 12:43pm
@Asep_Hejo : It is a lot of different changes - some things I've changed / added myself so whatever mod you have, place it above Nova Attila and it should take priority-
Yenza  [author] 20 Sep @ 12:41pm
@MxS7HGS : I'll have to look in to that. I've only been running this in GC.
Individual-11 19 Sep @ 5:38am
Im finding several models just stop don't transition to sprites when zoomed out. Very annoying when archers (sagittarrii) are near invisible sticks.
Asep_Hejo 16 Sep @ 10:08am
can you make a list for mods which alrady added by this mod or have the same changes as this mod? Or is it ok if i use mod with same changes/effect as this one>?
MxS7HGS 16 Sep @ 1:12am
Looking forward to it!

It's weird how much they deal damage. Did your mod introduce changes to combat? It's vanilla right? I only have this mod and Venus activated. The Ostrogoths are spamming their tier 2 infantry and they can easily destroy my Antesignani and Bucellarii Guard Axemen in the battlefield. I checked battle difficulty and its on normal. The only way to win is to outnumber them 2 to 1 or autoresolve.
Yenza  [author] 15 Sep @ 1:55pm
@Mingles : any specifics?
Yenza  [author] 15 Sep @ 1:51pm
@MxS7HGS : thank you :) not yet, but could be made! I have only been running this on GC, just a little on Charlemagne.
Yenza  [author] 15 Sep @ 1:00pm
@icarranco3 : hm not sure, haven’t tried that as of yet. Maybe some unit availability issue?
Yenza  [author] 15 Sep @ 12:41pm
@Jaya : it is a tough balance to find that sweetspot for when the AI goes from seige to actual attack :/ I’ve tuned it a bit to have them attack rather than just waiting in siege…which occurred rather often in vanilla (1 stack in settlement vs. 2 stack just waiting in siege outside)
Mingles 15 Sep @ 9:41am
@Yenza I saw a a few people ask and I am a bit curious, when Terminator did a spotlight on your mod his version had different visual upgrades, what were they? and would you link them in your mod please.
MxS7HGS 15 Sep @ 4:16am
First of all nice mod! The campaign AI is formidable. BTW, Is there a sub mod to make the battles much slower? Also, The Ostrogoth units in the The Last Roman campaign deals so much damage and murders my tier 3 Roman units like peasants. I win most auto resolve just fine strangely.
icarranco3 14 Sep @ 8:58pm
Hello it is a great mod, but i have a question for you
How do you make posible to have cheiroballistras in the garrison?, everytime i want to mod garrison with field artillery the game crashes, how is that possible?
Jaya 14 Sep @ 11:40am
hello,

Great mod but i don't no if someone say it.
In siege battle, when we destroy the too few siege weapon of the attacker, the IA will stupidly attack my doors with all of their units and they all die with the boiling oil or the fire support. Is it possible to force the IA to do more siege weapon or retreat the battle ? (like medieval 2)

thanks
Yenza  [author] 14 Sep @ 7:09am
@popoloch : oh? They should make a better stand but still fall at the end. How many turns in and how are they doing?
popoloch 14 Sep @ 5:14am
@yenza i feel like the WRE is getting too op
Okrimas delle Dune 13 Sep @ 4:38pm
Ok... Very good!! Thanks.
slickonepedi 13 Sep @ 4:13pm
@Yenza. The search worked perfect. Thank you very much
Mingles 13 Sep @ 2:29pm
when I am home I'd be happy to find the exact process and copy and paste it, its quicker than your fix and i think more effective personally.
Yenza  [author] 13 Sep @ 2:18pm
@slickonepedi : Alright, perhaps the number is a bit different. Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content

Here is where all your pack files are stored for various steam workshops. You can search within this folder for "Yenza_" and you should find my mod pack file. And also see which content folder is for Total War Attila :)

Hope this helps!
Yenza  [author] 13 Sep @ 2:16pm
@Mingles : hm... there isn't any preference.exe file, it is a .txt file with some settings you can tweak. I searched for what you wrote but can't find anything with some .exe file change - UNLESS you mean the affinity cores setting on every startup but I think that is just a hassle.
slickonepedi 13 Sep @ 11:19am
I'm really having trouble locating the .pack files for improved loading. I don't have one with the number you provided and there are at least 30 folders in this content folder. Any tips on how to find the one I need?
Mingles 13 Sep @ 10:21am
which yours is different, mine lets the game use more of the cores in your processor in the preference.exe file and with never having done your fix I get great performance, you should include it in your performance fixes
Mingles 13 Sep @ 10:19am
@Yenza cool, I just give people the source of that knowledge, if your's is like mine then we got it somwehere on the internet, if its different than now people how 2 options on how to improve performance.
