@Racoon I haven't tested them together so I don't know
Racoon 20 Oct @ 1:23am
does it work with "Immersive roleplay"?
bubby_pz33  [author] 17 Sep @ 7:43am
When I get the time, I will add earplugs
KhanTheMad 17 Sep @ 5:24am
can you add a custom version of the ear protectors or a function for modders to use to make electronic hearing protection?
VillbliTårta 8 Sep @ 2:50am
build 41?
bubby_pz33  [author] 7 Sep @ 8:03am
@NonstickSQYD It should be. Have you had any errors or any problems using them together?
NonstickSQYD 4 Sep @ 8:49am
would be nice if this mod worked along side guns cause hearing loss
of Black Swans 24 Aug @ 12:00am
That was exactly the problem. Got it working now - thanks for the quick feedback! Appreciate it.
bubby_pz33  [author] 23 Aug @ 4:50pm
Hi all, the problem is the Pack Mule mod. It changes the body location of ear protectors and muffs to something not included in my mod. In their mod, you have sandbox options to enable their new ear protector slot. I suggest you do not use it.

does this mod reduce stress made from zomb thumb sound
of Black Swans 12 Aug @ 4:33pm
As a small update, have the same issue as FallRegent. Seems to have stopped only just recently. I moved them to two mods ( FunctionalEarMuffs and FunctionalEarMuffs_BV ) to the bottom of my load order thinking something was overwriting them, but no change.
bubby_pz33  [author] 6 Aug @ 5:50am
@FallRegent Will look into it
Sum Ting Wong 5 Aug @ 5:01pm
the ear protectors are no longer working for me. i put them on but there was no sound reduction and paired with your other mod , Gunfire Causes Hearing Loss [i/], i still gained the hard of hearing trait after shooting.
bubby_pz33  [author] 16 Jun @ 10:54am
Enable both the BVPatch and the main mod. Do so after Broadcast Voicer
pochitaro24 16 Jun @ 6:21am
Ive got the same question as loccat
Loccatpowersdog 13 Jun @ 5:40pm
If I have something that uses Broadcaster Voice should I use only the patch version or the patch version+base & if so what order?
bubby_pz33  [author] 11 Jun @ 1:34pm
@ElGranCristianYTOfficial Afraid not. But there is a b41 mod that does something similar, but with more variety (Mod ID: MyEarsAreCovered)
ElGranCristianYTOfficial 11 Jun @ 12:29pm
compat whit b41?
zlslothzl 30 May @ 10:02pm
Can you make earplugs? That would be pretty cool, it would make some things a lot more convenient and stylish
Ben S. 24 May @ 12:44am
Would be awesome if this got rid of panic! Lock myself in, put these on and read a book as zombies bang relentlessly on my door.
bubby_pz33  [author] 12 May @ 4:07am
@Daiza Will fix later today, ty
Draiza 12 May @ 3:11am
You have syntax error in lua in main mod, so when any muffs are on only Hat_EarMuffs settings applied because that's default value for itemName and it doesn't get any later.
MeanSmoker 1 May @ 10:26pm
Works well thank you. I have a suggestion to make the Ear Protectors toggleable between on the neck and on the ears. Would be really handy!
bubby_pz33  [author] 30 Apr @ 3:13pm
A balaclava? That's weird lol. I'll see if I can add a compatibility patch for that
トガヒミコ 30 Apr @ 11:58am
there is a conflict with the mod ( KATTAJ1 Military Pack [B41/B42] ), or more precisely with balaclavas. The sound breaks, disabling the mod does not help. Probably, other accessories from other mods also conflict. Be careful when choosing clothes ordinary gamers ;)

P.S. I left it for ordinary players just in case, so that others do not encounter such a problem.

P.S.S. I love this mod!
bubby_pz33  [author] 18 Apr @ 9:00pm
@Everyone Hearing Damage mod released
8hoursofsleep 9 Apr @ 8:41pm
So good!
bubby_pz33  [author] 8 Apr @ 9:53am
@HARA-KIRI Or when you're waiting out the helicopter event and it's deafeningly loud right above you lol
HARA-KIRI 5 Apr @ 7:50pm
This mod is actually useful as some weapons in this game me fucking deaf irl.
Königkaiser 5 Apr @ 10:05am
now we need mod that long term gun usage makes you deaf without ear protection
Scroobles McDoodle 4 Apr @ 10:09pm
Reckon you could extend this to headphones and earphones?
bubby_pz33  [author] 4 Apr @ 7:50pm
@jmall2021 I can add that but are you sure you'd want that to happen? What if you wake up and you're surrounded because you went asleep when it wasnt safe
jmall2021 4 Apr @ 7:37pm
Not sure if this functions like this but it would be awesome if you could sleep through the night with zombies close by with these on. Anyone know if that works?
Epsilon-11 4 Apr @ 10:58am
has anyone tried this lifestyle music instrument volumes?
Big Dan 3 Apr @ 2:45pm
i'm not too sure how possible this is but active hearing protection would be cool! it could block out loud noises but then amplify things like footsteps so you can hear zombies better.
Joos 3 Apr @ 12:46pm
@KWG
Thank you for letting me know.
KWG 1 Apr @ 2:17am
@Joos I've been using a mod that does that. There is no tinnitus effect but you lose audition for a moment while shoting some loud firearms, and you have to use ear muffs to avoid that.

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890281039

But it's very exciting to know that @bubby_pz33 is also making something like this.
Construct 31 Mar @ 8:20pm
what an amazing mod! thanks dude!
Ghoste 31 Mar @ 4:45pm
@bubby_pz33 That's understandable, either way I can't wait to see what you do with the mod
Ghoste 31 Mar @ 4:44pm
depends on the gun @Lumi-Zoomy as someone who has shot guns without ear protection outside, yeah that shit rings your ears once it's a high enough caliber, shotguns ar's stuff like that you'll hear it a little bit
Lumi-Zoomy 31 Mar @ 10:36am
I don't think the ringing should occur if you shoot outside, but blasting your gun in a small closet or kitchen. Yeah thats going to suck.
bubby_pz33  [author] 31 Mar @ 9:05am
@Salvo I might expand the hearing damage expansion mod to include other clothing items that cover ears, but I'm not experienced at making models for new items.
bubby_pz33  [author] 31 Mar @ 8:16am
@Electrose Will do. I'm thinking of including bombs too, since they're noise radius is usually huge
Electrose 31 Mar @ 6:06am
If you add the tinnitus affect or reduced hearing, then I'd say suppressors should stop that from happening. Maybe have a check for Rain's Firearms since it's a big mod and if they do then stop tinnitus from happening, you can of course make your own silencer. Up to you if you want the Rains Firearms option as a replacement or not.
You could also, if you go the reduced hearing route then add hearing aids we can find
Ghoste 31 Mar @ 12:33am
it would be cool if, alongside that tinnitus effect, you added earplugs as an item, that way we don't have to have headphones on, maybe making them wearable with anything as well

@bubby_pz33
Joos 30 Mar @ 9:32pm
Can't wait!
bubby_pz33  [author] 30 Mar @ 8:12pm
@Joos Are you spying on me??? Lol I'm working on something similar right now. It will work with the mod and also without it, for people who don't want the actual volume decrease
Joos 30 Mar @ 7:20pm
Could you add a function where if you do not have ear protection while shooting a gun, you get tinnitus or have reduced hearing?
Adding a ringing sound or pain de-buffs would make this really immersive.

@bobby_pz33
(tysm for the mod)
bubby_pz33  [author] 30 Mar @ 4:27pm
Tyvm guys. Lmk if you have any suggestions or ideas to add on to this
Space Donuts 30 Mar @ 3:50pm
This is gonna be useful when camping, instead of fiddling with the audio options everytime it is raining, I can just wear this to minimize the annoying rain sounds effects. Thank you <3
