New or old as long as they look decent quality should be ok. Some older steam trains with big wheels might not look that great though since they won't move. But everything else 👍

I haven't looked to see if there are any models available, but I was wondering if there are any Great Western Railway locomotives that would be good candidates for this mod?

It's possible, just need enough trains to do it. And ideally ones that fit the same timeline of the game. Like the DT30 is supposed to be an EMD F7 and the ST30 is a T20 which is in this mod.

Making a nice skin for it is the other hurdle. Maybe I'll put more time into that after i finish the new buildings mod which is the main focus.

Well they're similar. The first versions of the DL500 (A,B,C) are a design evolution of the FA/PA.

Finally a mod of new locomotives. Can you do the ALCo export series DL500? It fits with the DT30, since they're with a similar style design.
