I want to love this mod, but there is no way to get these tools, even with the other mods, because you need materials and/or cats, and I currently have no way to get these things without 50000 hours of scavenging scrap and reselling it. Really frustrating!

I haven't tried scrap mining yet. I'll check it out today.
The scrap workbench seems to require iron ore. Again, i can't get ore without a pickaxe.

And to add, unfortunately the Kenshi mod engine only allows for one type of tool to be required. so for example you cant directly use a "primitive axe" instead of just an "axe" without changing how all the trees work :/

We have been looking into ways around this and thank you for your input.

PS, you can also find axe in nest loot spawns like in the hub and with scrapwork crafting you can make tools from scrap metals, for other workarounds.

Team_on is working on something like this right now. If you don't want to purchase an axe the other option for now is our wilderness starts which include axe and basic tools

To craft an axe need a workbench.
To craft a workbench need an axe and tools.
This is a circle of despair. :) It is impossible to survive without stealing and trading.

Perhaps the mod is missing a primitive stone pickaxe and axe..
