The rising energy sphere attack could knock the opponent away if used on the ground, and if used as an aerial attack, could spike the opponent into the ground.
The 'explosive wave' move could serve as a just another nice heavy finishing move. Or could have a powered up version that could teleport behind the opponent and fires it off.

Frequently I'll find myself relying on a single gun shot just to get any opening, and then hoping I can close the distance to land an actual hit and start a combo. The man needs to build chaos meter off of taking damage, maybe at a reduced rate or something. He *NEEDS* Chaos control as a movement option to really *get in* to your opponent.

also the gun is TOO GOOD. you can just spam the shit out of it for no cost and combo it into itself
Ooh, looks like it came back for more, yeah!
Can you feel time slippin' down your spine?
Ooh, you try and try to ignore, yeah!
But you can hardly swallow
Your fears and pain
And you can't help but follow
It puts you right back where you came!
(Live and learn!) Hanging on the edge of tomorrow!
(Live and learn!) From the works of yesterday!
(Live and learn!) If you beg or if you borrow!
(Live and learn!) You may never find your way!
Woah-oh-oh-oh YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Can you feel life tangle you up inside?
Yeah, now you're facedown on the floor, oh!
