The hotwiring mini-game like others have said on here is not engaging or interesting. Its purely a time-sink for the sake of what? I actually was loving this mod until I wasted 30 minutes trying to hotwire a 70' Challenger TA (hard difficulty) the mod itself provides no information and its not intuitive. Yes you can click the wires and shit happens but there is absolutely no indication of what you're supposed to do. I sadly uninstalled due to this.

forged crowbar doesn't work when using to lockpick, normal blue crowbar does work.

Can you add sandbox to lower the hot wiring difficulty. The 4 wires are way too difficult. 2 combinations out of 8 wires.

With newest update that added keybind support, this mod and True Crawl both spam "callframe at: addKeyBinding"

Hey, would it be possible to add vehicle key crafting? Much like what was available in B41 with Expanded hotwiring?

It's a feature I'd like to see because it enables the ability to check the fuel levels in a vehicle without attempting to start it.

@Centsational & @TheIronFist When it says "I can't pinpoint it" it's not a gamble at all. Just move to another door or window and try there. Afaik the idea behind it is that not with every window/door it's as easy to know from if it's rigged with an alarm or not

I guess its just the mod-maker's way of still trying to keep the unfair essence of project zomboid when designing the mod, but that is just MY speculation, I cannot say for certain. I've entered places that had "cant pinpoint it" without AND with tripping house alarms.

Love this mod though is their any difference in text when a character says "It is alarmed" vs "I cant't pinpoint it" seeing that i'm hoping there will be a feature to disable alarms in the future

The lockpicking is highly infuriating. Ive yet to get one single successful pick with a lvl 4 skill on even very easy locks. A video guide would be very, very useful for visual learners like myself because this minigame because I know I would very much enjoy this mod much more if I could understand it. Everything else about this mod I understand and enjoy except the lockpicking.

As much as i like the idea of the hotwiring minigame, any way of disabling it? Its just waaaaaaaaay too hard and makes it not worth starting as a burglar.

I'm having a really hard time with the "guide" that pops up when you enter a lockpicking minigame on a door. What is the difference between the steel-colored pins and the regular blue-ish pins? why do the steel(gray) pin doors NEVER open? they are not mentioned in the guide. and mushrooms pins are also extremely difficult, No matter the tension they do not properly set ever. Could you please run me down the more difficult pins?

The mod bugged my game after I crowbar-pedaled a car door, rendering my character unable to move. If I disable the mod, the character moves normally.

Have problem with some reinforced door at lockpick level 4. The second pin won't lock in at 5 tension, but at 6 tension it's stuck.

I found a bug. It causes feature descriptions to be repeated. For example, +1 will be displayed as +1 +1. It is unknown whether it will become +2 in the game.

This is a great mod, now i use it on all games, maebe he can add the feature that make it easy to wiere a car if you have more skills on electicity or mechanic, maebe reducing the number of whires to cut or made one of be already cut.

If this is better lockpicking I challenge you to do what no other lockpicking mod maker has done before when I asked if it were possible. Add a new layer to the mod like for the 10 years later mod add a minigame where you have to clean crude out the lock before you can pick it but not all cars it could be difficulty related. with the 100 years later mod yo can have one where yo have to wet the sand with water and pull out some sand then you can pick the lock and get and what not or you could risk it all and break the window.

I also think that the author of the mod made it too difficult to open, the pin control is very "clumsy" and the tension is poorly perceived, maybe add a color scale for tension (as an option).

I know how to do it in reality :) and it's much easier with your hands than in the game. By the way, locks should have a difficulty = how many cells. And now it's 90% easier to break a lock than to open it with the burglar skill. It's annoying.
But the idea is good and should be balanced.

Is there no chance of the lockpicking minigame to ever be B41 compatible? Having a similar illustration, using the mouse to move the lockpick back and forth, w to push it up against a pin, and using a and d to control the tension?

I came here to see if other people thought the lockpicking was too much. I CAN do it, I understand how it works, but holy hell is it irritating. You have to be on the exact right number of tension pretty much, and it feels as if it fails you just randomly out of nowhere. Just now I had all of the pins pushed up, and increasing the tension caused it to fail, whereas with every lock before this one, it worked to ramp up the tension once the locks were in place. This is just too punishing, though it is very cool and well designed.

I had to struggle with initial irritation, but after understanding the principles, it's a good lock picking system. Tip: The right position for each pin is not necessarily at the top.

@NickFleim I've since saying that comment have found 100% spawns for the magazines, either get lucky and have 3 prisoners event spawn in a house or just head to the Rosewood prison for 100% spawn chance, basically if you see a zombie with orange jumpsuit you'll 100% get one or both magazines, love the mod by the way, it adds so much to the game, only thing I'd ask to add if not planned is Skill books to boost xp gains, volume 1 to 5 please.

The difficulty is a bit much. Some of these systems feel like they're reinventing the wheel rather than copying another game's minigame.

There seem to be few if any visual or audio-based cues to make anything become intuitive like other lockpicking minigames.

Sometimes I get a bug where none of the hotwire combinations work, only getting out of the car and going back in it will reset the wires and let me find the correct combination.

Interesting mod, but the difficulty of lockpicking in both systems is too high. And there is no way to customize the system for yourself.
"How to spend an hour of real time and over 100 lockpicks trying to open a gas station door."
Of course, this is a "Skill issue", but I do not recommend using this mod, save your nerves
