Thanks for the mods! I'm hoping you might consider one or more of my suggestions for your next project...

A Conveyor and/or Industrial Pipe skinned piston mod for more seamless connections between subgrids.
A Conveyor and/or Industrial Pipe skinned hinge mod (same as above).
Industrial Pipe version of your conveyor expansion mod.
SG versions (I know you've mentioned no plans on this, but a girl can dream).

I've taken a crack at the first, and can confidently say 3d modelling is not my forte... I'll stick to programming.

Alright, sorry didnt see there was a notes section
enenra  [author] 10 Aug @ 10:25pm
No, see Notes section above.

the small airlock connector flat is completely airtight, is there any way to make it not airtight while unconnected?
CosmicAggressor 1 Jul @ 2:58pm
This mod is fun and a must have if you remotly care about lore but I do have 3 problems with it.
1. It is called airlock connectors rather than docking ports.
2. The large connector is air tight in the middle instead of at the end.
3. The connectors count as an airtight block at all times. It should instead only count as an airtight block when locked or when aligned for docking. With a brief grace period of a second or so after undocking for any undocking based even controllers to work in.

I will admit that what I know about modding tells me that the third problem may be very hard and fiddley to fix in se1. But if you end up porting this to se2 you can probobly do the whole thing by making the block simultaniusly a connector and a door.

Hey, could you check if there's an issue with the large connector? I'm working with a script (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3485188140) and I want to use it to lock and unlock the connector via the script, but it's not working. Other connectors are working.
C.DEF 20 May @ 4:04pm
I can get one soon
enenra  [author] 20 May @ 10:45am
Do you have a log of the crash?
C.DEF 20 May @ 10:21am
Ok its probably a conflict, but just to describe the scenario when it happened

I was welding it from a projection on a planet with low oxygen pressure but warm temp, and as soon as i welded over it to have the game create it, the game crashed.

my only guess is it has to do something with airtightness?
enenra  [author] 20 May @ 10:06am
I've done what I can within the limitations of the game. The block as a whole should be airtight. If it's not, it's not something a mod can fix.
C.DEF 20 May @ 10:04am
Uh it is the large open connector block and I can test rq if it happens in just a world with the mod. Might be having some conflictions with other mods
Ghosthands 20 May @ 9:41am
Really nice work. Beautiful model, cool functionality. I'll be using this on a lot of my builds going forward!

Just one issue on the large (3x3) one: the airtight volume seems smaller than it should be. Rather than reaching to the edge of the yellow ring, it reaches only half that distance, and it also doesn't extend all the way to the outer walls. This means that even when two of these connectors are locked together, there's still a depressurised space in the middle (about 2.5m deep). Obviously this isn't great if your helmet is off in Survival Mode...!

Is it possible to fix this? If it's part of the unavoidable pressurisation jank, I understand, but if not, I think it's the only thing holding this mod back from a perfect score!
enenra  [author] 20 May @ 1:27am
which block? and does this still happen in a savegame with only this mod?
C.DEF 19 May @ 6:03pm
I think there is something wrong with one of the construction models, as it crashes my game whenever i try to weld it
CelticChaos 11 May @ 12:37pm
First things first this is an amazing addition thank you. Question? If you have created a walk through connector would it be possible to create a walk through rotor? When I saw this my brain exploded and the ideas began to flood in.
Zenitelr 29 Apr @ 3:47pm
I have a suggestion, Could you reduce the size of the small grid connector to a full whole block, I was trying to make a small grid ship(Escape pod) that fit in 1x1x1 Large grid block, but then I found out that the height and width were a tiny bit too large so it's impossible to do so. If you can't do it, that's fine.
CosmicAggressor 29 Apr @ 8:58am
I almost feel like this mod is why space engineers now has round corridor blocks.
titanius anglesmith 28 Apr @ 8:30pm
what weapons are used on the ship ?
Core1948 21 Apr @ 3:39pm
omg, I don't have to make jank connector systems anymore.
XoSashakittyox 11 Apr @ 9:34am
would this come to Xbox too?
Wob 7 Apr @ 8:05pm
I think I love you
enenra  [author] 6 Apr @ 10:47pm
No they are connectors, not merge blocks.
CosmicAggressor 6 Apr @ 5:53am
I remember using a mod something like this something like 8 or 10 years ago.
So I wonder does this mod have the same issue namely the airlocks being essentially merge blocks with a weird hitbox and causing the ship to forget its name and weather it is supposed to be a ship or a station when it detaches?
mhwyoshi 5 Apr @ 2:24pm
they need something like this to be a part of the base game
Taema Nai 5 Apr @ 1:53pm
Why isn't this part of the vanilla game?! So needed
xuedi 4 Apr @ 9:53am
Awesome mod, there would be only one tiny way to make it even better, build in a camera on the big dock and marking on the dock where the camera is, so you can look and aim while docking :-)
etrun3 4 Apr @ 1:31am
Awesome! I've played SE for so long and this has always been my top mod wish, your implementation looks really good!
Cpt. Spooky 2 Apr @ 2:23am
I've heard from comments on other airlock mods that making them essentially into a piston causes physics issues or something to that effect. Could an extensible airlock essentially just switch between two solid states, with say one being 1x1 and the other being 1x3 blocks long, with a transition animation played inbetween, without actually using code or physics from a piston? Would it be possible to use the expanding collision model of a piston without the attendant physics? Could this be done with hinges to make a 1 or 2 axis flexible docking port?
ABlueHairedFox 1 Apr @ 11:55am
This really is something that needs to be vanilla
enenra  [author] 19 Mar @ 11:16pm
good to hear!
Naustromo 19 Mar @ 5:53pm
Much better, not even a scratch upon docking
Naustromo 19 Mar @ 10:47am
It was a few days ago, I will undock, pull away, and then attempt to redock when I get home from work. See how it goes. Will give feedback on results.
enenra  [author] 19 Mar @ 1:40am
@naustomo I actually just updated the mod a day or two ago to try and make it more sturdy. When did you test this?
Naustromo 18 Mar @ 7:53pm
I do love this mod. That being said, I made a very heavy corvette. Even around .5 m/2 or less when drying to dock, one of them usually gets destroyed when trying to dock. Maybe more HP even it it takes quite a bit more materials to make. Anyway, kudos on the concept and creation.
jarhead 18 Mar @ 7:59am
HEY KEEN!!! Make this vanilla......please.
Mr.Misha312 17 Mar @ 9:18am
very good
Aleron the Ampphron 12 Mar @ 11:04am
could you make an extendo variant like the ones in sifi shows and movies when 2 ships are docking to each other? if not its fine
daemonreaver 8 Mar @ 3:42pm
A 3x3x1 would better replace Zardo's LG rings
Dots 7 Mar @ 7:01am
haven't this been attempted in the past?
Obi™ 6 Mar @ 11:56am
Truly epic, I've been waiting for a new airlock connector mod
ribera1945e 5 Mar @ 8:05pm
Great ideas and the drive to make them a reality!
ABlueHairedFox 5 Mar @ 7:13am
Babe, wake up. New AQD mod dropped.
NPC 5 Mar @ 4:21am
@AngryDuck! same
pryde64 5 Mar @ 12:13am
these are really cool
AngryDuck! 4 Mar @ 4:53pm
I hope they treat air like they're treating water in SE2 because the one thing I've always lamented was missing from SE1 was the ability to make working docking airlocks where you could have two ships connect to each other with an airtight seal that allowed the passage of people and atmosphere between the two grids. Airtightness is "janky" because the engine doesn't treat air like a fluid. Airtight is a characteristic of the block, not an effect in and of itself.
bigfootv 4 Mar @ 1:19pm
Are these new or a reboot of Zardo's Airlock Connectors?
ZEN_2255 4 Mar @ 11:28am
Simply and qualitatively. :selike:
Dallarian 4 Mar @ 9:22am
Sweet Illuvatar, the age of space walks is over, now is time of connectors!

It took waayyy too long for this to finally make its way to the workshop. Well done!
Morphy 3 Mar @ 11:44pm
Well, that scene in Interstellar would play out a lot differently when he locks on to the runaway ring station with this mod- WHAM, the rotational inertia is absorbed immediately...
