I have not done any work on updating this yet, sorry everyone. I haven't even played HOI4 for a few months. When the next DLC drops and MD updates I will come back and update. Until then I will unlist the mod.

kecek 4 Sep @ 11:29am
pwease fix your mod; I've been waiting to finish my run since August 16 >_<
Taco Lord 4 Sep @ 9:27am
The crash seems to be caused by 6 state files within the country folder.

#414
#626
#627
#852
#853
#855

Replacing said files from ones with the original MD folder will fix it, there may be other compatibility problems since the new update changed A LOT of stuff but this should work as a quick fix, for now.

Any ETA on when this mod will be updated?
CHUD_SPERGMAN  [author] 23 Aug @ 8:36pm
@SensoryDepot No. I do not know what the director's cut is.
CHUD_SPERGMAN  [author] 23 Aug @ 8:35pm
I will see what I can do this next week. Sorry everyone!
CHUD_SPERGMAN  [author] 23 Aug @ 8:35pm
New update broke the mod right after I fixed it :steamsad:
Momlover77x 21 Aug @ 2:21am
Can't really describe "what" is broken, since I am no modder. But I am getting the same error as the person below me.
SensoryDepot 20 Aug @ 7:15pm
I'm getting a " Failed to load the map" message then it dumps out to my desktop. It recommends checking the integrity of game files and/or disabling mods. I've done all of that and disabling this mod allows the game to launch. Hopefully you can figure this out because it is a great mod.

And it did work with the director's cut before Millennium Dawn was updated.
ColdCristal 20 Aug @ 3:50pm
Work millenium dawn director's cut?
wargoal justification  [author] 20 Aug @ 9:41am
What's broken in the mod atm?
Jack Desai 20 Aug @ 1:06am
You should definitely do a 2020/2025 start-date, would be very interesting, tinkering with the new events (Russia-Ukraine, Assad, Iran-Israel, Gaza).
kecek 17 Aug @ 8:41pm
As the other guys below pointed out – yeah, it appears that the last Millennium Dawn update has broken this mod to the point that it just crashes. The original MD mod alone works just fine. I hope it will be fixed soon. Cheers
Cristianmrvzla 16 Aug @ 6:31pm
update pls
Anthony 16 Aug @ 12:15pm
I think this mod broke a couple hours ago.. can you fix? also can you make this compatible with directors cut as its really fun together
valenetwork123 16 Aug @ 2:34am
update pls
Tri 15 Aug @ 7:50pm
Can you add a East African Federation formable for Tanzania?
özgür 14 Aug @ 10:58am
hey, can you make it work with directors cut and turkey+(especially turkey+) mods? ty
SurfRat382 14 Aug @ 5:44am
@Fricker
It might seem stupid to have a debate over a country in Africa, but it's the challenging of others that forces us to learn more information about the world we all live in. Having random debates is what lead me down the path of business and it's why I know a great deal about the world. Although, honestly I would rather not do it here, but people keep insisting. Now, it's just because they want to gawk instead of learn something.
Raider_Sixteen 13 Aug @ 7:59pm
It seems I've found a bug; I played with just MD and this mod and it appears that countries in a depression have their productivity skyrocket up hundreds of points per month for some reason. I only noticed through my play through when Argentina and Haiti both somehow became superpowers through their productivity levels a year in. My guess is that the productivity calculation breaks somehow once the economy gets to depression, idk I'm no good at HoI4 coding. Or maybe it's just my install, idk
manuelruipenedo 13 Aug @ 2:03pm
is it compatible with milleniaum dawn revived?
Fricker of Fun あ! 13 Aug @ 1:25pm
mfs were really arguing over kenya
LORDLUK 13 Aug @ 6:46am
Can we, please, get SPAA back? The game's nearly unplayable in the current state. As soon as you meet a helicopter division, you cannot fight anymore...
SurfRat382 10 Aug @ 9:58am
If you don't have anything of value to add to the conversation you should just restrain your inner inclination for conflict and let the subject die. It's impossible to gain a new perspective when you have nothing to offer.

@G-Lew and @SurfRat382, how do I cite steam workshop comments for my PoliSci research paper?

SurfRat382 28 Jul @ 7:55pm
@G-Lew, Yeah, I'm willing to concede defeat when it comes to Myanmar. My defense was really shaky with that one and I knew it. It's remarkable how the only thing still propping up the population is the rebels and the people themselves. They're a very resilient lot.
G-Lew 27 Jul @ 10:08am
I agree with everything you say mostly other than Myanmar, A failed state is defined as "A failed state is a state that has lost its ability to fulfill fundamental security and development functions, lacking effective control over its territory and borders. Common characteristics of a failed state include a government incapable of tax collection, law enforcement, security assurance, territorial control, political or civil office staffing, and infrastructure maintenance" Myanmar fails in every one of those except maybe office staffing.

They are unable to collect tax, enforce law, offer security, territorial control or infrastructure maintenance is a wide variety of areas controlled now by rebels. By definition they are a failed state, Though wanting to declare them one is a different thing
SurfRat382 27 Jul @ 7:16am
@g-lew Kenya faces some serious political challenges, but I don't see this as enough to derail the government, and certainly not deter investment into the country. As far as crime, Kenya has an index of 56 while the united States is at 46. They're both very dangerous countries, but it's Kenya that gets the press even though Kenya scores much higher in safety than the United States.

@The mod Developers, thank you for your mod and your patience with me. My combative nature gets me into a lot of debates.
SurfRat382 27 Jul @ 7:16am
@g-lew While Myanmar is often described as teetering on the edge of state failure, there are compelling arguments for why it hasn’t fully crossed that line as of yet which is mostly do to the resilience of the population which provide parallel governance structures like health care, education, and humanitarian aid ect. However, the government is losing control of territory and it's grip over the people, so you might be right if you would have said it's on the verge of becoming a failed State. If it does become a failed nation State it will lose it's membership to ASEAN which isn't looking good, but only time will tell. As you hopefully said, this ethnic conflict is over 40 years old.
SurfRat382 27 Jul @ 7:16am
@G-lew I don't like North Korea or Myanmar. However, I'm not a bleeding heart trying to push an agenda in politics, so you might fine my replies too objective as that's how I view geopolitics. Objectively. We're not debating on the safety or poverty of a country, but on rather the country falls into the category of a failed nation state and because of this North Korea is certainly not. This dictatorship maintains very tight Authoritarian control over the military, boarders and the population while despite facing massive sanctions and diplomatic isolation for decades the country still maintains this control, and of course a lot of this is due to the help received from Russia and China. This is factual.
G-Lew 26 Jul @ 10:24pm
@SurfRat382 Bro is really out here trying to act like north korea isn't an impoverished shithole and has had millions die in famines every other decade, THE harshest dictatorships on the planet, They maintain stability purely on cruelty and oppression. Myanmar is a failed state, Quite literally in a civilwar right now after a coup a few years ago re-sparked fighting. They been fighting against rebel militias for its entire history. It's without a powerful central government to maintain control. Kenya has had its issues, Tourist having to have a military escort to travel around the country for tourism (Not sure if thats still the case). So tbf they are all very close if not failed states, You also need to learn from different information sources. Though i cannot say kenya is a failed state.
SurfRat382 26 Jul @ 2:26pm
@Floppy Kenya is projected to grow by 5.2% this year and only down because of American tariffs. North Korea is a perceived failed state that has maintained stability and the same ruling regime since inception, while even though Myanmar has struggled with rebellions the State has maintained steady growth since the year 2000. There's other countries that are failing in the mod as well, but going further would be to digress. I know it's a game, and a mod, but I'm not going to be corrected by someone who knows so little about geopolitics. Just because BBC tells you these nations are failed States doesn't make the information factual. Western sources are just as biased as some of the more local sources of information. You need to learn from different sources of information.
