Got it, it was a conflict with the Hardcore Noise Solution mod; the officer counts were fine but the crew did not increase. Thanks for your help!

This mod is as described, rat. If you have other crew modifications active try disabling them and seeing if the crew number is 30 when you do that.

I created a new savegame with the type VIIB but the # of crew is still at 20. Checked the description but don't see anything indicating how to increase this to 30.
too bad.
I'm new to modding, but I could have this version. Maybe I'll manage to finish developing it.

[Nr.2] Manfred von Richthofen: Yes, if it were done through scripting. Which I have a version of but I haven't released it because both I and the person that wrote it have retired from modding.
I will continue to support this mod and whatever else I've posted to the workshop for any game for as long as I can.

Ohh it’s not savegamr compatible? Thats probably the reason why I only have 7 officers and 20 crew even with rep cheated
Is there a way to rewrite the mod so that it is savegame compatible?

DjHonore: This has been asked many times.I am not going to give support on how to do that because it will lead to problems with playing the game. There aren't enough beds on any of the boats for any more crew than this mod allows. If crew or officers don't sleep because there isn't a bed for them to sleep in the boat doesn't operate. I'm not helping people do that to themselves.

Just downloaded the Mod, i can see that i can upgrade officers to 9, but i still only have a maximum of 20 sailors? anything i need to do ?

i dont know why but the mod wont work for me. I selected it in the modscreen but i can only take 20 crewmember and 7 officers mith me.

UI scaling is in the display or video settings of the options. I believe the page up and page down keys also adjust the UI scale.

@Razon: That's one of the many issues with having too many officers (more than 9). If you have more than 9 officers it's nearly impossible to get them all to fit on the tab screen. 9 fit if you adjust your UI scale so they do fit.

Maybe when the IX is released in October we can have more than 30 crew and 9 officers. I will of course be looking at that and have plans to either update this mod or release another mod to address that when the IX class is actually here.

@Jack Schitt thank you, I i didn't plan to do actually do it, it was more of an idea to make the crew a more realistic size. That said, thank you very much, the game files will stay untouched till i will sink off the coast of argentina

no no not at all, it was working flawlessly but when i switched it just broke. i had the modded officer count and the modded crew count. so idk why i would not fix it. but who knows. just FYI it broke when i used the option "choose another boat" in the warehouse.

I run the 7C and I of course use this mod. It definitely works with that boat. I didn't personally go through the entire game from start to finish testing this mod every step of the way. The officers might have to be upgraded through earning reputation each time we upgrade a boat? There should be 30 crew slots available on both the 7B and C without having to do anything.

Is that what's going on? You have 30 crew slots but the default amount of officers?

@battlefieldguy7: That's strange. The entries in the xlsx files for both boats are exactly the same. Do you happen to maybe be running another mod that affects crew capacity that might be conflicting? Two mods that do the same thing will do that, conflict, and things won't work right.

What boat are you running, Hildiboss23?
You should not be allowing ALL of your crew and officers to sleep at the same time.
All stations should be manned at all times. If they're not you'll have more problems than not enough beds. The boat won't run as it should if everyone is sleeping.

An issue with food hasn't been brought up and I haven't had any issues with that. I always keep the kitchen stocked full, I've never run out of food. Thanks for the support it is very much appreciated!
