This mod looks really fun as I enjoyed the hell out of Venice in Civilization 5 and I've always been kind of sad that they never attempted something like them in this game or the next. However, I can't seem to play it. Though, this comment is two-ish years after the last comment was ever made and maybe three-ish years since It's been touched so odds are it isn't updated for Rising Tide. Wish I could play it with the full updated game though. Mod looks fun and thanks for making it. :cozybethesda:

I only noticed Venice this past couple days... And I had Civ V for like 2/3 years. Shut it. lol. I haven't played Venice yet but I fully understand the stupid. You had my up vote the moment I saw "Space Venice."

was having an issue where the stations i build would just dissapear from the game at random, not starved of trade, not killed by enemies, just 1 turn its there, next its gone, am starting a fresh save file to try figuring out if the dissapearing stations have anything in common so i can let you know what specifically needs fixed.

This is a silly mod, and I love it. I would love to see an the ability to make a watery Venice with the Rising Tide expansion. That might prove interesting (and potentially broken since water cities move).

I think I will. Having venice be mobile will solve a lot of issues with starting plots and strategic resources.

@lilgamefreek: With the release of rising tide are you planning on maybe allowing Venice to start as an aquatic city? I think it would suit venice pretty well.

For now NEVER build the Genevault cus it spawn a worker in newly founded cities. since it is stations the stations will disapear. I retired a game with space venice because of this. anyways great mod!

@Firefighterfl91: Sorry for the late response. I have not touched the faction in a while and the issue maybe the result of a patch to the game. I will test it sometime in the future. Thank you for alerting me of your experience.

There's no ability to implement full-fledged "independent" city states in BE, I'm afraid. Whether implement a system where stations eventually evolve into puppets could be interesting, but would also be quite complicated to communicate.

how's the ai with this? a mod that transforms a station in a city state (tier 4) would be nice. basically after a vile they become a nerfed space venice? i cant mod, but mybe this is an idea.

Yeah. It's gotten particularly bad with the recent patch which nerfed trade-routes. I'm not sure how international trade routes are calculated, but I've been getting much lower science yields from them. Not sure what can be done about it. :(

I really like this sponsor, but late game it begins to really lack in Science. Energy is a piece of cake with the +energy per station trade route, seriously OP, but science is hard to get.

They keep sending caravans to a station garrsioned by my soldier and I declared war on them. Plundered several hundreds of gold By the way, Is it possible to treat station as an empty tile for units?

It was previously possible. However, now it's actually impossible to lock an opponent in. I recently update the mod so that Venice loses its territory should a station get destroyed or withdraws. I felt it was a change that both makes sense and makes it possible to fight back against the faction.

Territory won't grow past the initial ring, so you must be choosey on where you settle. Luckily, you're only interested in strategic resources, which helps limit your choices a bit.

Side note, since we don't take ownership of the station, the tiles dont grow, do they?
And if they dont, then that means the valuable lands we seek would need to be littered by dozens of stations to full capture their bounties for our glorious empire.

Well, finally got around to giving this mod the update it needed. Not only did I add 15 new stations for people to enjoy, but I also made things a little more difficult for everyone. You will lose your territory sorrounding a station if it gets destroyed or withdraws. Should make the faction a little more enjoyable to fight.
