the memento key chains have duplicate bag icons when they are in your main inventory.

This is a simple functional mod, as the name suggests.
I decided not to implement it because it would be complicated to implement in the first place, and because it would be very confusing to display when there are several backpacks in the backpack.

Even with the current implementation, for example, once you take the first aid kit and other items out of the backpack you are carrying, you will be able to take out its contents.
If you want something more functional, I am sure you can find it somewhere else.
If you can't find one, please pray that someone will make one.
If not, there is probably no demand for it.

There are already 2 other mods for this, and I was hoping for an "in the container in the container" as you put it. like first aid kits or sewing kits being in your backpack.
