I cant seem to find the button to change appearance ingame, I have the sandbox setting to enable it for everyone but the only things i have is to change hair with vanilla pz, and "training materials" (books + vhs tapes checklist i guess, i dont use it.)
Only thing that influences the info section that i have is Bigger Character Avatars

its not abandoned it still works
overwateredcactus 2 Oct @ 6:46pm
spongie, is the character retexture mod abandoned? Are we gentiles stuck with the fugly vanilla skins now?
EastDawn 29 Sep @ 5:03pm
@spongie Thank you so much. With your latest update, the crash when we shooting zombie point blank is no longer the problem now

Following up now with a tentative bit of good news: Body Hair Growth seems to actually behave now. But I've observed a odd behavior before it started working.

It should go without saying that changing sandbox settings in-game does not apply those changes until you at least quit to menu and reload the save. This means when I loaded in with the Body Hair Growth setting already at 0, and I swapped it to 20, it was not going to start using the 20 setting straight away - I'd need to quit to main menu and load back in first.
But there appears to be another step to consider: shave off the body hair so that it can grow back 1 more time with the incorrect behavior, shave it again, and then the new settings should take complete and full effect.

Because I'm trying to have 20 days between body hair growth events, and I'm on 2 hour days, I won't be able to be confirm the growth event happening when its supposed to for a while. For now, though, I think the too-fast behavior has been fixed.
Mattatatta 28 Sep @ 4:10pm
I am on B41, I had neglected to mention this originally.

Yesterday I set Body Hair Growth to 0 as a temporary measure after reporting the issue, and in some very short testing it seemed to work as expected and disable growth. But now body hair just grows within 2 in-game hours regardless.

I unsubbed and resubbed before playing today to make sure I was on the newest version.

I'm still playing the game normally to see if the head stubble prompt appears after the (alleged) 3 days its set to. It didn't appear in 3 hours so it might be behaving.

On that note, is the sandbox setting supposed to still say (Days) despite it being configured for hours now?
thepigeontrooper 28 Sep @ 8:07am
Playing in B42, body hair and beard stubble growth is way too fast, I have had to shave twice or thrice a day. After updating to the mod's latest version, beard stubble growth has seemingly calmed down, but body hair still hasn't. I've been shaving every 2 hours. The kicker is I even made a point to disable body hair growth in the sandbox options by setting it to 0.
spongie  [author] 28 Sep @ 4:52am
nevermind i found the issue and ive updated the mod
Pure Vanilla 28 Sep @ 3:49am
I meant to specify my issues in b41, apologies.
spongie  [author] 28 Sep @ 12:50am
The settings shouldnt matter it already multiplies the timer by 24
Pure Vanilla 27 Sep @ 10:54pm
As of the most recent update, I can't help but notice the body hair/stubble is growing absurdly quickly? I have to imagine this is an error, and would really hope to see it fixed!! One of my favorite mods otherwise
Mattatatta 27 Sep @ 5:37pm
Who tf grows body hair in hours?! I was confused for a while as to why I was having to shave every single day. You mean to tell me the Sep 25th update deliberately switched the setting from days to hours?
Guess I have to multiply 24 by 20 and use Sandbox Options to change the settings in my save...
Alabeo 25 Sep @ 2:13pm
I can still see items in my inventory, namely face.
NivTrass 25 Sep @ 1:08pm
Thanks man, I'll try what you said.
spongie  [author] 25 Sep @ 12:54pm
you have to resub to get steam to update the mod probably
NivTrass 25 Sep @ 12:50pm
The mod is not working on my current save. (I checked all the mods one by one)

Tescosti 25 Sep @ 10:11am

charrlintu|ukraine♥ 25 Sep @ 7:52am
Thank you for this @Johnny Dollar, I thought it was just me.
Johnny Dollar 25 Sep @ 7:11am
Hey Spongie.

Thank you for the great mod.
The 42.12 update completely ruined the mod, sadly.

Of course, there's way more than that, but it spits out literally hundreds of errors regarding your mod at launch, and then a couple of hundred more when trying to do anything.

Hope it was any kind of help, and once again thank you for bringing vanilla friendly detail to the world of PZ.
Hello 13 Sep @ 2:14pm
I've noticed that the Ranger Jacket and the Police Jacket suddenly have Shoulder Patches when you roll the sleeves up in Build 42
raphael.rdsoares 11 Sep @ 8:10am
I'm able to select a face/scar, but when I go to playing mode, the player face goes back to the default one.

I'm also getting this error when enable this mod. Running on macbook pro M1 Sequoia

Im not sure if its a feature or not but having a burn scar on your eye kinda blurs everything as if my character was drunk, not a burnt eye just a burn mark. Is the blur on purpose?
Toast 6 Sep @ 3:35pm
Some of these issues appear to be a quirk with how LUA is implemented in Linux. Not the mod. I fixed my errors, the same one as B1ackCat, by forcing steam to use Proton 9.0-4.
tilarium 1 Sep @ 4:40pm
Not sure about the specks, but the UI issue is likely an issue with another mod that affects the character recreation UI
TEMPEST 1 Sep @ 2:52pm
Anyone else having a huge problem with the controls for this mod (on the character creation screen) either missing or hidden underneath the 3d character model viewer? I'm also having weird black specks on neck and chest no matter what I choose...
tilarium 30 Aug @ 8:08am
Yes it does. Instead of just saying a blanket "doesn't work" try saying how it's not working for you and then maybe someone can offer some help
benjamin5455 30 Aug @ 6:35am
The mod dosent work
Dusty 22 Aug @ 11:02am
i am a big fan of your mods but in this one i cant select the face i want (something i could totally do before) so i wanted to see if there is a way to make it better :cherrypie:
