This mod is practically defunct, for those who dont' pay attention
alfonsomartin840 24 Aug @ 10:09am
I cant even enable the mod
Holotime 23 Aug @ 11:51am
it works but even with the options its still trash, just a gank fest like a live action shooter where you cant possibly keep up since ur skills are zero or low whenever you die but they are all high and spamming spawns every 10 minutes
alfonsomartin840 21 Aug @ 2:33pm
not working im afraid
Shaman Rock 20 Aug @ 4:28pm
i cant enable the mod. i have version (B41) bandits installed yet this and other bandits addon mods are red showing i don't have bandits installed

With the new update from BanditsV2 this code isn't working even with the fix to required. This runs off of the old BanditCreator.lua which has been removed from BanditsV2 and it being put into the brain and created with spawned functions. This mod will have to be rewritten but it seems BanditsV2 is not done updating because some of the object still call on BanditCreator in the Bandits mod which most likely breaks until that creator finishes updating to the new implementation.

@mrloganv12 do you have a link to the patched version of this mod?
mrloganv12 18 Aug @ 6:50pm
pretty sure the mod is dumped for now, for anyone reading this someone did make a patched version if you're too lazy to change the mod files
matthewbennett2024 9 Aug @ 3:30pm
is this mod abandoned
ChuckMillerPlays 5 Aug @ 2:40pm
for those that are unable to enable the mod in B41 - you need to edit the text in the mod file. You can find the mod file in the following location - Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > workshop > content > 108600 > 3412682512 > mods > BanditsAddOptions >. Then open the 'mod' file with notebook and change the 'require=Bandits' line to 'require=Bandits2'. Sorted
Dragon_ao_sky 4 Aug @ 12:55am
weird, even I uncheck the Raider AI type in the sandbox setting, those bandits can still find me even they cannot see me at all
† BLAZE † 3 Aug @ 9:08am
Well, it looks like the mod won't be fixed, we'll have to endure the beatings
† BLAZE † 28 Jul @ 12:40pm
The checkbox now works, but you can't activate it "Incompatible with Bandits2"
Katharu 26 Jul @ 4:00pm
Check for the mod.info in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\108600\3412682512\mods\BanditsAddOptions\42

that worked for me.
BeautifulRnr 24 Jul @ 2:59pm
sadly he disappeared not cool

I don't understand how you do this thing with changing mod.info, I have 2 such files in different folders and in both there is only this text:
name=Mod Template
id=ModTemplate
description=This is an example mod containing two maps.
poster=poster.png
I'm already tired of fighting off bandits at the base and dying, mountains of corpses and constantly wasted time instead of equipping the base. :steamsad:

"Go to C:\Users<YourUsername>\Zomboid\mods\BanditsAddOptions\42\mod.info

Open the mod.info file with Notepad.

Change this line:
require=\Bandits
to:
require=\Bandits2

Then change this line:
id=BanditsAddOptions
to:
id=BanditsAddOptionsbendi

Save the file and restart the game.

The mod should now appear and work correctly."

i tried this fix and it looks like its working so far but ive only tried the base options version
not day1 or week1 i deleted the other folders. but im assuming the fix should be similar.
Femboy mmmm 19 Jul @ 6:11am
I don't think the mod author is active anymore, which is unfortunate as the extra options seem really awesome
donlott 18 Jul @ 6:15am
Just jumping in as a reminder, since you're unresponsive so far, but you need to fix the dependency on your mod.
Pantstain 13 Jul @ 8:06am
Not able to enable this
pbnj 12 Jul @ 9:02pm
I cant enable it even tho i clearly got the dependency:steamfacepalm:
chii 12 Jul @ 10:31am
Dependency issue on B41.
I hope you can get around to fixing soon :)
Thanks!
Splachi 8 Jul @ 3:59pm
You need to fix the dependencies.

FouN 6 Jul @ 9:36am
Yup needs update
Vitriol ☧ 5 Jul @ 10:40pm
This needs an update. says its missing the main mod.
SIXAB 1 Jul @ 5:36pm
@Xerionus that.
Xerionus 1 Jul @ 4:37am
I think there is a bad dependency or something, the updated version of Bandit mod has an ID "Bandits2", and this mod still requires mod with an ID "Bandits"
Ghoster 29 Jun @ 10:55am
Can't enable this mod straight through the mod section in the menu, How do I fix that ?
Matikanetannhauser 26 Jun @ 11:22pm

phucth91 23 Jun @ 5:24am

hanz 22 Jun @ 3:59am
This doesn't work in b41. Previously it worked. Could it be because of an update?
464444 22 Jun @ 3:39am
anyone that have problem with this mod, i have a solution.
First thing first subscribe this mod, take this mod from workshop, to do that u need proceed to directory SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3412682512
Get rid of version week one or month one, and make mod folder looks like that:

(3412682512)
common (folder)
media (folder)
mod.info
poster.png

next things u gotta do with this files, open "mod.info" with any txt editor (like Wordpad)
and make this line: require=Bandits ----> require=Bandits2
and this last line: id=BanditsAddOptions ----> id=BanditsAddOptionssfdfffsfds (or then names thats u want)
close and save, then copy that folder to next direction --> Users\Zomboid\Mods ( and drop this folder there )
On this step u are done, but, u need desubscribe this mod on workshop.
And if u plays on dedicated server, u need put NOT in "STEAM WORKSHOP" window, but in "MODS" ur whole new mod that names "BanditsAddOptionssfdfffsfds".
Now u done, have a nice day! :griefer:
464444 22 Jun @ 1:43am
this bullshit wont work in b41, and i do not know why.
Fevv 17 Jun @ 7:18pm
Options that should be in main Week One. Tiring to deal with the military strikes
Ryan 17 Jun @ 7:21am
compatible with 42.9?
Slayer 15 Jun @ 3:08pm
Guys the incompatibility was marked for a reason. It will not work just because you modified the incompatibility restriction that was there for a reason. This mod overwrites old bandits code that no longer exists.
R o c k y J e t 14 Jun @ 8:58am
GJ fellas!
BloodContact 14 Jun @ 7:44am
Thanks to @grunty and @Gantry Buckems for the workaround. Can confirm the mod now works in B42
CoffinFeeder 14 Jun @ 4:38am
In order to make this work again you have to go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3268487204\mods\Bandits\42 open the mod.info file with notepad and make sure you delete the incompatibility from there
JuanRuiiz 13 Jun @ 3:16pm
fix b41
Mikaelsen 13 Jun @ 10:56am
IT WORKED! HOW TO FIX "REQUIRE BANDITS" (IM USING B41)

@Grunty Said:

Guys, I think I solved the "requires bandits" problem, go to the folder

Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3412682512\mods

Now the only thing you need to do is go into these 3 folders and CHANGE the "mod.info" (using notepad)
I didn't test it much because I'm using BUILD 41, but if you want to test it in the others...

In MOD.INFO, change the REQUIRE=
it will be Bandits, just put Bandits2 and that's it

Credits to Grunty on the Comment! Thank you!:steamthumbsup:
Heartnire 13 Jun @ 6:21am
What are the Workshop ID and Mod ID?
Fenriryena 10 Jun @ 8:49pm

Dubkito 8 Jun @ 6:26pm
please updateeee
Gantry Buckems 8 Jun @ 4:00am
FOR BUILD 42
follow the guide below by grunty, this time, editing the mod.info file inside each one inside the folder labeled "42"

then go to

"Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3268487204\mods\Bandits\42"

you will see another mod.info, edit it with notepad.

edit the "incompatible=..." section to this exactly

incompatible=\BetterFPS_B42,\TrueCrawlStealth,\TrueCrawl

relaunch the game and you should be able to enable the mod.
